My Greatest Photographic Moments of 2016

Layered tunic, roll neck and paisley joggers | Not Dressed As lamb

Just over a year ago I published a round up of my favourite photographic moments of 2015, mostly as an antidote to the typical “best outfits of the year” posts fashion bloggers often publish. However I forgot to repeat the exercise for 2016… here I am, publishing it now – better late than never!

So as well as the annual bloopers and outtakes every 1st January I’m going to schedule in a “greatest photographic moments” post at the end of the year too. As always it’s an acknowledgment to Keith, my Instagram Husband, by showcasing his wonderful photography which deserves as much recognition as I get (it’s one of the reasons I thanked him so much in my UK Blog Awards win post – without his skills there would be no blog)!

I’ve grouped the photos into certain categories: Beautiful lighting, great composition, details, captured movement and stunning locations… Whilst choosing which images to include in each category it occurred to me that you might like to see a mini-series of photography tips posts about lighting, composition, etc? Lots of tips on how to compose interesting shots, the same for lighting and how best to capture and work with it, ideas for photographing details (with examples), that sort of thing…?

If so, let me know in the comments and I can get that started in a month or so when my posting schedule has opened up a little!

(You may have seen on Instagram that I published a post saying you shouldn’t be fooled by “perfect” selfies? I asked if anyone was interested in a “tips for taking a great selfie” post – it seems that everyone WAS interested, so look out for that soon… Unless I have to juggle posts it should be going out next week – sign up to my posts by email if you don’t want to miss it!)

In the meantime sit back and enjoy these beautiful shots – here’s to pretty pictures on all our blogs!

WHICH ARE YOUR FAVOURITES – AND WOULD YOU LIKE TO SEE A PHOTO TIPS SERIES ON COMPOSITION, LIGHTING, ETC? COMMENT BELOW, OR TAKE IT TO TWITTER @NOTLAMB!

LOVE love love this post, Catherine! Your photography is always stunning – both you and Keith do wonderful jobs in capturing the most beautiful imagery. Although I love every single image here, I have a few favourites. The hat throwing pic is simply stunning, the picture of you wearing last year's blog awards outfit is divine and both images in the 'beautiful lighting' section took my breath away! So yes please do post some tips for us!! I'd love to learn more!

I was going to mention which I liked most, but it is going to be a list…. 5, 7, 8, 14, 15, 17 and 18. I think 18 is my favourite as it is so hard to do.
    Kudos to Keith.
