I’m really excited to be not only wearing sugary pastels (this week’s #iwillwearwhatilike theme) but to be wearing Winser London for the very first time.
Until a couple of months ago I hadn’t heard of this young brand before, but I’m officially in love with their quality and styling. It’s run by Kim Winser, herself a 40+ woman, who is obviously someone who understands what older women want from their wardrobes.
The key pieces I’m wearing – the pink cotton sweater and the jersey wide leg trousers – are so beautifully made and comfortable that I could probably wear them as loungewear. In fact I’ve worn the trousers to London and back, and anything that copes with a total of five hours on the train and doesn’t annoy me or make me uncomfortable is a winner in my eyes.
Disclosure: These pieces are PR samples from Winser London but I was not compensated for writing this post (click here for my full disclosure). All content is original, however, and opinions are my own and 100% honest.
The gorgeous pastel colours really make the outfit, but I wanted to add a little hit of bold so (unusually for me) I went with black: An embossed cross body bag from Zara and my trusty black cat eye sunglasses. My third pastel was the grey pointed toe heels from ASOS I first wore a couple of weeks ago – and who doesn’t want a fourth? The taupe flat cap adds a certain boyishness to a somewhat ladylike outfit, plus I’ve always been a hat girl. I have to thank Carrie Bradshaw for making flat caps acceptable…!
This is a very special post for me as I’m introducing for the very first time a blogger collaboration I’m very proud to be part of and the reason I’m wearing Winser London today – scroll down for all the details and to see what this new project is all about. Good times ahead!
And of course do add your outfits to this week’s link up and you may be featured next week if you’ve linked up pastels!

Thank you for joining the #iwillwearwhatilike link up! This started as a campaign on Instagram in August 2015 where women over 30 wore everything on a journalist’s list of “inappropriate” items for 30+ women (including leopard print, short dresses and oversized sunglasses. Yes, really). It was so popular that I decided to carry it on weekly where women of all ages link up their fabulous style, never mind what anyone tells them not to wear!
The link up goes live every Monday at 3pm UK time and will stay open for a week. Whilst the original article was of course aimed at the 30+, you can be ANY age to link up. The only criteria is that you’re wearing whatever you damn well like!
PLEASE NOTE
This is for linking up what you’ve been wearing (or would like to wear) only. I like to keep it all looking tidy because I’m a bit of a neat-freak, so non-outfit links will be removed – it’s only fair to others linking up!
Linking up? Please be a good sport and do the following…
CLICK HERE to read the rules of linking up (and to grab the #iwillwearwhatilike button)
No featured favourites this week I’m afraid as I’ve featured the Over 40 Collective instead! To get yourself featured next week, link up something following this week’s theme and make sure you’ve included a link back to Not Dressed As Lamb or my button in your post/sidebar.
DO SHARE THE LOVE AND VISIT AS MANY LINKS AS YOU CAN (YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT OTHER LOVELY LIKE-MINDED LADIES YOU MIGHT MEET) – THE ORIGINAL INSTAGRAM CAMPAIGN FORGED SOME WONDERFUL NEW FRIENDSHIPS SO DON’T MISS OUT!
Oh I adore these colors together! Sorry I missed the link-up – traveling – but I will be there this week! xox

You looks so darn snuggable in this outfit – yep, I made a whole word up just for you 🙂
But you know what I mean, it looks so soft and comfy. And I'm loving the had, the perfect quirky twist.
I'm so pleased and proud to be a part of the O40co and even more pleased and proud to call you all my friends!

I love the way you always add a twist and make your clothes your own Catherine and this is no exception. You look lovely and I'm so excited to be part of this. xxx
I know JUST how cozy and squishy and lovely the fabric is on those trousers, because my red dress is made of the same fabric! I love it. I wish they made a blanket out of it, lol! You look gorgeous, Catherine. I love how you've styled this outfit; it is SO YOU! I love how it manages to be elegant, quirky, and feminine all in equal measure. Love you xx
I'm already a big fan of Annette, Lizzy, and Michelle, and now can't wait to meet all the other bloggers as well. You look lovely in pink! Pastels are horrible on me with my coloring. But I do like to add a bit here and there with accessories.

The simple yet stylish cut of both the trousers and top are really beautifully understated here Catherine, but I do love that you've added your own twist with that cap. And how gorgeous is that bag?! Your latest venture with these lovely ladies looks like it will be one worth watching. Congratulations to you all. Thanks for the linkup party x

Great soft colour palette but I love how you added those punches of black to make the outfit sing. Great idea! Another great idea is your Over 40 Collective. All the women here look very chic even in the boldest of colours. Thanks for the linkup, Catherine.
I have such a soft spot for Winser, such great quality and beautiful cuts. Your outfit is effortlessly chic, gorgeous and I'm considerably in love with your bag! Yvadney x
This look works wonderfully on your slender frame. Very sleek. It looks so comfortable too. The shoes are a great touch, and the gold on the purse plays on the tan of the slacks so it all works well.
Let's all take a moment to thank Carrie Bradshaw for a million fashion encouragements, shall we? She gave me courage to try all sorts of crazy things that had never even occurred to me before.
I shared a very sugary pastel post with you this week: a pink, gingham, day dress from about 1960. I'm crazy about it. Be sure to check out the pink, vintage, Sherman brooch too. It's a dream.

With your fabulous look you really show the versatility of Winser London's collection and our individual styles, Catherine! The icecream colours are stunning, so soft and elegant – love the twist you added to your look.
I couldn't be happier to be part of this group – our friendship and mutual support is outstanding. I really look forward to our future path in the blogosphere (and elsewhere!).
Much love,
Annette

I know many older women shy away from the pastels, but I think they can be worn—-maybe with a little tweaking here & there! Of course, you're not quite old enough to worry about that!
I love the hat…I've been trying to wear them more, but sometimes I don't pull it off well—and I think now I know why from your photo. I think they work better when the outfit isn't too busy—like your outfit is fabulously simple, and the hat adds a little panache!
Thanks for the fun link up and the intro to these other bloggers!! You're always on the cusp of the fun!

You look fabulous in the pastel pink (one of my new favorite colors!) and the tan trousers are so sophisticated and look so comfortable. Winning combination there! Now I'm going to hop on over and visit the other beautiful ladies of the Over 40 Collective!
