After publishing my second post on ways to style a biker jacket last week, I mentioned that I might recreate the first outfit where I wore it with with military trousers.
Of course once I had that idea, I was then desperate to get my winter clothes out of storage and find those very trousers. Whilst going through everything I also rediscovered the gorgeous white lace roll-neck sweater I got this spring; it was worn only once because it got too warm (see how I styled it here). I knew the two of them – plus black biker jacket – were destined to be worn together!
I kept everything else in the outfit really simple: black booties (very happy to see them again), raspberry nails, big hair. The nights are really drawing in now and photo shoots will become more challenging – back to the race before the sun goes down at silly o’clock in the evening. These photos were taken after sundown yesterday (you can see the glow from a security light that came on), but with a tripod and very slow shutter speeds you can get away with murder…!
Do you keep your summer and winter wardrobes out all year round, or do you keep one or the other in storage like me (and have you swapped over yet)? I hope I’m not the only one who looks forward to the twice-yearly swap…!

Sweet and edgy..perfect mix!! Love It!!!!
Hi Catherine!
I am a big fan of this combo, and I love this lace top that goes higher on the neck. The olive green pants look great. Would love it if you stopped by somtime.

It's a VERY high neck, Jess – not for wearing in warm temperatures (it keeps your neck incredibly warm like a scarf)!! Thank you x
I totally remember this lacy turtleneck, dearest Catherine…how wonderful to see it again in all its glory!! Love it with your cuffed, military-style pants and black booties; not to mention that moto jacket!! Unfortunately, we don't have enough space in our one-bedroom condo for seasonal storage…but it's all good, because I wear most of my pieces (in different combinations!) all year 'round!! XOXO

I'm the opposite – no space to keep it all out and hanging!! Into storage boxes they go, May and October. Thank you lovely M xx
I'm definitely a swapper – but not just one swap in summer and one in winter. I do gradual swaps to get me through the temperature fluctuations of the English seasons (for example, it's nearly November and still quite warm some of the time).
I have to do it all in one go, Eleanor – though I'd love to do it gradually!!
Loving the leather and lace combo! Soft and feminine with edgy – looks so great!
Thank you Cherie, ever so much!
I thought I missed this gorgeous lace piece, but as I went back to the original post, I saw I had seen it, but forgot all about it. (I cannot even remember what is in my own wardrobe. Let alone, remembering yours as well haha.)
Greetje
Hehe that does sound like me, Greetje – I'd totally forgotten I had this lace sweater!!
Fantastic outfit dear! 🙂

Aww thank you Isa!
I actually keep my clothes altogether all year round. I don't wear Autumn colours as they do nothing for me so I wear bright colours most of the time. I just add a jacket or shrug and replace skirts with jeans I love the edgy jacket with the feminine lace. You look great!
I think I would if I had the room, Lorna! I love that you wear brights all through the year. Thanks hun x
You look gorgeous as always! Love the lace! So pretty. Have a super weekend!

Aww thanks so much Stephanie!
Great jacket:)
Thank you x
I shove my seasonal clothes into a big sack and let them out according to the Season 😀 I'd love to place all of them in the wardrobe, but don't have enough space 😀
I looove this lace turtleneck with the rad biker jacket and gorgeous pants. The green color of the pants is so saturated, adore it!
Thanks Keit – and you sound like me with the shoving away of clothes (though mine go into big boxes otherwise I'd think they were for recycling/charity/selling if I put them into sacks…!!)
I always love a good mix of feminine with edgy pieces. Love this!

I'm having a bit of a 'thing' for contrasts at the moment, Alice! Thank you x
I love this look SO much! The lace with the biker jacket is just so good!
Thanks sweetie – I'm really loving it too :))
Catherine I'm crazy about this look, it's cool, chic and on point. I love the top especially, gorgeous 🙂
Take care,
Daniella xox
Another outfit I'm pretty sure was heavily influenced by your good self, D! Thank you hun x
I used to split my seasonal wardrobe but now I have more space I keep it all out, I do prefer it like that.
Wow I barely have enough space for half my wardrobe… if only I had more space!!
Leather and lace…beautiful!
Red Reticule
Thank you, Rick 🙂
I love switching my clothes out! Sometimes I buy things on clearance right before a season ends, and then when I pull them out, they still have the tags on them, and it's always a pleasant surprise!
That's what I do, Pam!! Or I'll only have worn them once maybe before the weather changes. Always a nice surprise when you rediscover them!
Some items of clothing stay out year-round others get swapped/stored.
This looks is so soft, but with a polished edge! What an outfit!!!

Aww thanks Jeanne, it's a fave!
Great look and thanks for the tips on shutter speeds ( yet another thing to figure out with my camera (LOL) Night is coming to early and when I am up in the morning it also is still dark so pictures are getting complicated again.
and I just swapped out yesterday, so much fub rediscovering what you have and what you put in storage
Yes it's coming up to the worst time of year for fashion bloggers, Linda!! Boo to the dark evenings. And thank you xx
