Nothing to see here. Nothing except for some beautifully moody beach shots and some super slouchy autumn styling… nothing except that.
And really that’s kind of it summed up, what more is there to say? The cardigan is a years-old favourite that works with EVERYTHING in summer and then transitions perfectly into autumn. The trousers have been seen many times before (see the evidence below in “5 ways to wear” at the end of the post). They’ve been worn many, many more times than that IRL.
Not forgetting the exquisite photographs from the Instagram husband, Giles. Soft and moody, they summed up the weird calm-and-still-mild weather that day – not what you’d normally expect from the south coast which is usually windy af.

They’re without doubt an “end of summer” set of photos, and the olive green of my slouchy cardigan and the grey/blue/pink mottled pattern in the print of the trousers reflects the whole sky/sea/beach thing that’s going on.
And on that grandiose note(!) I’ll bid you a happy Sunday Sweatpants day, I think we all deserve one. Thank you to everyone that left me such lovely comments and messages on my last blog post and via Instagram; I’ll reply to you all as soon as I can, I promise. Your messages of love and support are greatly appreciated ❤
Are you having a slouchy Sunday (what snuggly clothes are YOU wearing)? Tell me in the comments…
Stay safe, XOXO

thanks so much Emma, and yes it’s definitely cardi weather now isn’t it …
I had been on the hunt recently for an olive cardi- finally got one. Love the stitching on it. One thing I dont look forward to is how dark it gets earlier in the day. I do love dressing for Fall and those pants have the perfect colors for it too!

Thank you Lovely! xx
I love snuggly for Autumn, although we’ve been blessed with some nice weather over the past few days. I recently bought a new coat – that’s really proved to be a winner as I took it away for the weekend and didn’t feel cold at all. Jacqui x

It’s mostly been a glorious October hasn’t it Jacqui – a bit colder and wetter last week but back to mild and sunny this week!

Hehe Suzy your enthusiasm for our collaborative photos is infectious, thank you!!!!! ๐
I’m having a “do nothing” day before a busy and probably stressful week. I’m hanging out in a sweatshirt and pj bottoms. I just got a fantastic pair of lounging pants, so I’m hoping to be a bit more stylish in my downtime from now on.
Happy Sunday Catherine! โค

Good for you, Michelle! Glad to hear you’re getting in some downtime… I’ve also bought some lovely loungewear over the last year or so, who says we can’t do comfy stylishly?! ๐
I’m wearing navy blue leather clogs (the kind with the back) with a dark fuschia/wine corduroy skirt and a navy and burgandy floral patterned cowl neck top with a dusty lavender slouchy sweater. Of course it’s 75 degrees but I am nonetheless enjoying dressing autumnal this Sunday.
Author
That sounded like the picture of autumn, Liz!! Though I’ll still gladly have your temps any day ๐
Gosh what absolutely beautiful photos, that green cardi is perfection. Soooo autumnal. You need a freaking pumpkin spiced latte to totally capture all the fall feelz ๐

Aw thank you Lisa, Giles has done me proud yet again…! Yes to the PSL if only I drank coffee, LOL ๐
Catherine, I haven’t been to the UK for 2 years now, and believe me when I say that it breaks my heart. But seeing a peep of that English beach makes me happy. So, I hope it made you happy too, because English beaches……. where else do you want to be!! Sitting in my joggers now after a 2 hour cycling afternoon. Blue skies, but bloody cold.
Author
Nancy you’ll get here soon enough! It was a very mild day and the weather was perfect for these photos… no wind which is so unusual for the coast. And WOW to the two-hour cycle ride, well done you!!
Did you say moody, slouchy, Autumnal? Now those are 3 words I can relate to. I’ve been so excited for “Fall” …. the outdoors and the transition to cosy clothes.
Author
Hehe I like those three words too, MT! Though I can’t say I’m looking forward to the clocks changing next weekend, no extra hour in bed is worth the dark nights for months on end to me, f*ckin boooooooo ๐
