16 Unmissable Things to Read – The Best of the Blogosphere (February 2017)

The Best of the Blogosphere February 2017 | Not Dressed As Lamb

In my my Best of the Blogosphere this month I have rainbow brights, tips for growing out your fringe, a blogger code of ethics, cherry bakewell tarts and more!

(In case you’ve not see these posts before my Unmissable Things to Read post is a monthly round up of things I’ve seen, watched and liked in the blogosphere that I’m sure you’ll love too.)

I think with all the talk of SS17 and the emergence of the first blossoms (I saw those as well as new leaf buds on the trees in the rain today and it made me feel so much better) it’s time to start feeling positive about the year ahead and all the good stuff that’s coming up. These posts really embody the lighter, brighter feeling I’m getting from the blogosphere right now… It’s a very welcome change.

Do have a read of these great links – you never know who or what you might discover that makes your day/week/month!

My husband is back blogging! Check out his revamped over 40 menswear blog (and see my sorely-underused photography skills) after his two-year hiatus.

Do you wear nana shoes? Samantha talks about this new classic and shows off her gorgeous metallic red pair.

I’m debating whether to grow out my fringe after just having it trimmed (makes no sense, I know…) – Kendi’s got great tips for growing out your bangs without wanting to tear [the rest of your] hair out.

Lyn talks about what gives someone or something an “edge”. A really fascinating and well-written read.

Amber’s written a Blogger Code of Ethics and I’m totally on board (especially where not buying followers and likes is concerned).

I love a bold red anything, and Cathy’s red top is shown off to perfection with her amazing accessories.

Talking of red: Who doesn’t love a cherry bakewell anything with a (literal) cherry on top? Jaclyn has a delicious recipe for mini cherry bakewell tarts.

I was always a fan of super fierce Sheree and I’m so glad she’s back blogging regularly.

I have a feeling 2017 is going to be the year of rainbow brights – shop loads of multi-coloured stripe things here.

Debs is incredibly grateful to have blogger friends (as am I) – here she talks about why. Which leads me nicely onto…

The best of the Over40Collective this month

This is a section where I share the best post from each member of the O40Co. We’re launching next week on 27th February – do NOT miss Monday’s post where I’ll be talking all about it!

Michelle has some great tips on how to choose the right underwearso important for making good clothes look amazing.

The statement sleeve is really having a thing at the moment and these black and white ones Liz is wearing are stunning.

I’ve never bought anything from Uniqlo before, but if Inès de la Fressange has a Uniqlo line (as beautifully modelled by Nikki) then I’m more than interested.

Another ode to rainbows: Rainbow argyle knee-high socks with Miu Miu heels by the ever-pushing-the-envelope Lisa.

Biker jackets come in many great colours, not just black – Michelle has picked lots to shop in six great colours.

Annette is offering £40 to spend at Lizzy O Boutique if you fill out her quick reader survey – bloggers find this sort of information invaluable so please do click through and take part.

I always love seeing your curated selection of what is good and what catches your eye. I DARE NOT click on the bakewell tart recipe (sugar 'ho that I am!) but the rest are fabulous. I really enjoyed Amber and Lyn's posts. Thanks Catherine! xx
