My Very Own “Not Dressed As Lamb” Trench Coat

Coop & Hen Trench coat
It’s a pretty exciting day for a blogger when a brand approaches you with an offer of having a piece from their collection named after you – which is exactly what happened when New York clothing brand Coop and Hen got in touch with me! I was given the opportunity to choose a piece from their collection that I felt most represented my style, and to say I was flattered was the understatement of the year.

Regular readers may know that I’ve worn a trench coat more than a few times this season already – see me in trench action at London Fashion Week, going short with a vintage scarf, and with blue leopard print and orange, to name just a few. So when I saw the Coop and Hen trench coat, which has a clever jacket upper half that comes off to reveal a dress-style sleeveless coat underneath – I knew that it was the one for me. So, ladies and gents, I present to you the…

Not Dressed As Lamb Two Pieced Trench

Coop & Hen Trench Coat
It’s definitely my kind of piece, and I love how it’s practically a whole outfit in a coat. It’s by far the most unique trench coat I’ve ever seen, and even as a dress by itself it’s got that great safari vibe going on. So in my little sartorial fantasy of actually owning one, I’ve put together some affordable pieces that I think would work wonderfully with the trench. A black turtleneck sweater, patterned tights and boots, a smooth leather tote bag and – of course – a hat (a fabulous deep red fedora).

So I think having had a piece of clothing named after my blog is a big fat tick on my “Blogger Bucket List”, don’t you think… a feature in a top glossy would be another! What about you – what would be the next thing you’d love to check off on your Blogger Bucket List? I’m dying to know!

Wow, I am so far behind on your news, sorry for being MIA and huge congrats, what an awesome honour ( and I still think they should send you a coat) My aspirations are to be as successful as the bloggers I follow ( and get lots of followers) Dang that sounds so selfish and vain so I should say World Peace right???

Erm…walking on the runway? That's one but I think that's just an impossible dream. Another would be the same like yours, being featured on the front page of a fashion magazine. How glamorous don't you think?
Congrats on this trench coat named after your blog! I'm so so happy for you =D

Wow, Catherine…this trench coat is FAB!! I love all the different ways it can be worn, too; definitely the most "bang!" for your buck here!! Congratulations on having the piece named after your blog!! My aspirations at this point are still pretty modest…I am looking forward to consistently having at least a hundred pageviews daily!!

Everything's relative, Monika – my aspirations of being featured in a magazine are nothing compared to what some have achieved. So all aspirations and goals are good, something to always work towards!! Good luck with that stage! x (oh and thank you of course for your sweet comments)

Thanks Lauren, you're a sweetheart as always x

Yes, yes, yes – congratulations. This is really, really great. And two-piece Trench coats are the best invention … and now ONE carries your name – awesome. Have a nice Sunday!

Now that is a seriously stylish trench. Love it, you made a great choice as always.

The next thing on my Blogger's Bucket List is to improve my photos – they are shocking! I can't even blame the lack of a good camera as we do have a very under used Nikon. It's down to time and the absence of family members in day light hours to take the pics! Must try harder x

It'll be the best thing you ever do for your blog, to improve the photos I mean!! Thanks for stopping by sweetie x

Congrats, Catherine! What an honor (and well deserved). The NDAL trench is a stunner too, with the unusual two-piece design. xoxo
