I was shocked recently to find out that I hadn’t published a fashion blogger roundup for a whole YEAR.
I’d intended this series to be a regular thing… I LOVE writing these posts, researching and finding new-to-me bloggers (and promoting my favourites). They seem to go down well with you guys too.
My featured bloggers lists take some time to compile, and none more so than today’s topic: plus size fashion bloggers. I have been wanting to write this post for ages – there are SO many amazing, incredibly stylish plus size girls out there.
As always with these lists (I’m glad to say), their styles differ wildly from one to the next. If you’re looking for plus size fashion inspiration, this is your one-stop shop for every style imaginable – from urban, edgy chic to romantic and ladylike, from office chic to everyday casual. There should be something for everyone.
I do believe, however, that you don’t have to be plus size to take inspiration from them. I never restrict myself to only being influenced by women whose body shape is like mine, or whose outfits I would wear from head to toe. I like to be inspired by colour combinations, by shapes and silhouettes, by accessories. Whilst it’s of the utmost importance that EVERY size/shape/colour/ability, etc. of women is represented in the media and online for every individual to feel represented and to see someone that “looks like you”, that’s not to say we should dismiss those that don’t “look like us” when it comes to great style.
I’ve also, as I always try to do, hopefully found some bloggers that don’t show up on the usual “Top 10…” blogger lists. For example, I always get frustrated with lists of over 40 fashion bloggers (I mean those compiled and written by journalists, not bloggers) because they tend to list the same names every single time. It’s lazy journalism. What I think they must do is Google search “over 40 fashion bloggers” and get a list come up. They rewrite said list, and ignore all the incredible lesser-known bloggers who are DESPERATELY deserving of attention.
I don’t ever want to do that, hence the reason it takes me a while to write these posts – I hope the results are worth it!
Pin for later!
So this list has taken a long time, however, it has meant that many, many gorgeous, talented and creative girls have not made my list. I had to keep it to a reasonable number that I could cope with – I usually feature between 8 and 10 in these lists so 14 was a lot! I hope I’ve found some bloggers you may not otherwise have found or known about yourself.
I’ve included Instagram handles for each of them – but they are all bloggers. No Instagram-only influencers here. I still believe blogs have a LOT to offer – Instagram is merely a little slice into someone’s world. Please show your support and read, subscribe to and comment on their blogs if you become a fan.
And as I always like to say, I hope you love this list of fabulous fashionistas as much as I do…!
HOW MANY OF THESE BLOGS DID YOU KNOW ALREADY, AND HAVE YOU FOUND SOME INSPIRATIONAL NEW-TO-YOU BLOGGERS TO FOLLOW? COMMENT BELOW!
P.S. DO NOT MISS the swimwear special at the end. Images too inspiring to add in one or two here or there, I wanted to showcase these gorgeous women showing us that EVERY body is a beach body. We don’t have to showcase our own on the internet if we don’t want to, but these lovely ladies are out there proving to the world that no one who WANTS to wear a swimsuit or bikini should be denied the right to wear one. Oh, here I go with #iwillwearwhatilike again…
14 fabulous plus size fashion bloggers
1. Assa – My Curves and Curls
Canadian Assa is so elegant – she wears the loveliest dresses and skirts (showing off those great legs) and looks equally as incredible in her workout gear. She’s a lover of classic separates, bright colours and classy patterns.
Follow Assa on Instagram: @mycurvesndcurls
2. Emily – Fashion Foie Gras
Emily is an American in London – she’s incredibly tall and graceful and wears fun, often romantic styles (she’s a huge Ralph Lauren fan, and it shows). I’ve met Emily a couple of times and she’s just as lovely IRL as she is on her online platforms – she’ll respond to all her DMs and really respects her readers/followers with in-depth conversations. Back to the clothes: that white jumpsuit absolutely knocked me for six…

3. Stephanie – Stephanie Yeboah
If you want urban, edgy chic and cool sportswear, Stephanie is the blogger for you. The teddy bear tracksuit with the orange crop top is awesome – I found so many outfits I wanted to include it was almost impossible to choose just three.
Follow Stephanie on Instagram: @stephanieyeboah
4. Joi – In My Joi
I’ve been following Joi for ages – she’s a regular on my #iwillwearwhatilike link ups – and I’m completely in love with her always-colourful, always-refreshing sense of style. It’s hard to pin her style down, but there’s always an element of fun, creativity and playfulness in everything she wears.
Follow Joi on Instagram: @inmyjoi
5. Callie – Callie Thorpe
Another blogger I’ve met IRL – Callie is an absolute darling (and a total hoot). She’s an amazing advocate of body positivity and I love her ability to make sneakers look cool with everything. You’re just as likely to find her in swimwear as you are a jumpsuit and leather jacket… she’s nothing short of stunning.
Follow Callie on Instagram: @calliethorpe
6. Allison – Curvy Girl Chic
My research into plus size bloggers brought up Allison and I’m so glad – she’s petite, has the most gorgeous hair and SUCH great style. She’s always polished and rocks office chic as beautifully as she does a floral summer dress.
Follow Allison on Instagram: @curvygirlchic
7. Hayley – Hayley Hall
Yet another blogger I know well from blogger meets – Hayley is the loveliest person and has the most incredible complexion and mesmerising blue eyes. She knows her personal style really well and loves a midi and maxi dress as much as I do. She’s always feminine but (and I love this about her) with just a touch of the rock chick.
Follow Hayley on Instagram: @HayleyHall_UK
8. Lauren-Nicole – Fashion Killer
UK blogger Lauren-Nicole became a plus size model after being spotted by a brand on Instagram. (I love how the platform CAN be used for positive things these days!) She’s a fan of bright prints (especially leopard), cute shorts and blazer combos and pretty dresses. She’ll wear heels, she’ll wear flatforms, she’ll wear trainers with dresses. All served up with a fabulous dose of British sass.

9. Becky – Becky Barnes Blog
I’ve known about Becky for a while but didn’t really know her great style that well – boy does this girl wear some funky stuff (that’s not at all scary). As you can imagine I was totally drawn to the orange dungarees and cool mules – she also does everyday casual wear and denim really, really well.
Follow Becky on Instagram: @beckybarnesblog
10. Georgette – Grown and Curvy Woman
Oh, gorgeous Georgette… I’ve followed her for ages. Her smile is infectious, as are the bold colours she wears. She’s someone who isn’t AT ALL afraid of wearing colour (three or more brights at a time), and I’m always inspired by her creative, playful style. There’s never a dull outfit to be had on her blog or Insta…!
Follow Georgette on Instagram: @grownandcurvywoman
11. Emmie – Authentically Emmie
I discovered Emmie in my search for plus size bloggers, and I’m sorry I only just found her when she’s been blogging for 10 years already. I had many, many outfits to choose from to feature here but I went with her beautiful dresses – she’s a girl after my own pattern-loving, bold colour-wearing heart. I always have a soft spot for ANY bloggers who also appreciate The Power of a Patterned Midi Dress.

12. Katha – Katha Strophal
German Katha is another colour lover – but check her out in that cute workout gear… I need that hoodie! Her style is feminine and clean, with classy dresses and floaty fabrics. And then there’s that super cute smile that I just can’t resist.
Follow Katha on Instagram: @kathastrophal
13. Jay – Jay Miranda
Wearing those heart sunglasses better than anyone I’ve seen, Jay’s style is simple and chic. Nothing is overly “done”, but she looks as great in jeans as she does in a funky mini dress. I’m also loving that striped trouser/white blazer combo… I’ve noted that one for my summer wardrobe.
Follow Jay on Instagram: @pinklip
14. Kelly – Kelly Augustine
My final plus size blogger on this list is the incredible Kelly. Her style is just aaaaargh amaaaazing – I can’t pinpoint it at all, it’s wonderfully eclectic and SUPER cool. She KNOWS how to rock a knotted headscarf, she KNOWS how to wear edgy sportswear, she KNOWS how to accessorise to perfection. With incredible photography as well, her shoots and outfits are always utterly inspiring.

Plus size swimwear special!
Something I noticed when looking for outfits to feature for each blogger was the number of them that featured swimwear – it was so uplifting to see so many of them wearing swimsuits and bikinis! Instead of adding in a swimwear image here or there among their outfit collage, I thought I’d simply show them all here in one FABULOUS composite image… hope you love ♡

Hi Neena, welcome! Hope to see you here again soon! x
Catherine, great round up! So many gorgeous curvy women here. I need to sit down and visit them all and give them each some follows as well. When I started my blog 4 years ago, I was absolutely plus sized and then I lost weight and now I linger in that in-between space where I can shop both plus sized and non-plus sized clothing…so I never marketed myself in that genre and chose instead to stick with the over 40 market. In any event, it is all so interesting and there are so many inspiring and empowering women of every age, shape, and color showcasing their gorgeous senses of style. Thanks for sharing some of your favorites!

What a super post, Catherine! There are some seriously amazing looks here. I adore the colour that some (especially Kelly!) rock. Style does not know age, colour, or size as every single one of these women show. xx

Yep I don’t see size making any difference to me being inspired by their style, Cathe, you’re right (and that goes for ALL sizes and shapes)! The main thing is that we’re not seeing just one “type” of woman the whole time #ThumbsUp
Such a fantastic round-up! Thanks for sharing!
