It’s already time for my second monthly celebration of women who wear what they like… are you ready for some style overload?
I’m so glad I started this monthly series to share other women’s style with you. I’m inspired on a daily basis by all the bloggers I follow, and as so many of my readers say they’re discovering new [to them] blogs every time I feature others I’m happy to continue doing it. It also forces me to consider my own style, and what I can do to change it up a bit, and try things a bit differently next time.
2018 may be drawing to a close but for these women style doesn’t stop with the end of the year…!
Just to explain a little about this feature, in case you missed it last month:
Each month I look at all the thumbnails on my weekly #iwillwearwhatilike link ups and pick my favourites to feature here. I also add three outfits from elsewhere in the blogosphere that have inspired me (a blogger who didn’t link up but I wish had; the blogger with the most inspirational photo shoot, and the blogger with the most jaw-dropping outfit). Of course this is all purely subjective, but it’s my blog and I’ll cry if I want to feature whomsoever I please!
These women dress however they like. They dress to express their personality and have an incredible sense of style, whether that’s classic, on trend, boho, preppy, glam, granny chic, etc. There are NO STYLE RULES. No one has to be ‘trendy’, or wearing the latest styles to be featured. No one has to have that typical LIKEtoKNOWit/Instagram style. No one has to be a particular age. No one has to be a particular shape or size. I’ll simply feature women that have impressed me AND my readers, those that had a high number of clicks on their link, etc.
I’m still looking for more women to join the link up: although I LOVE the fact that there are those that link up regularly, we need more diversity. Please do send a link to this post to anyone you think has great style and is willing to link up on a Tuesday to #iwillwearwhatilike for a chance to be featured in this monthly feature post!
A note about getting yourself featured…
It’s well known there are plenty of bloggers who do the classic “dump links and run” thing. I won’t be showcasing the ones that do that. I know who they are, and they won’t get themselves featured if they give nothing back. It’s only fair – if you link up – that you give a little back to the community and comment on my post and a few others to show your support. I also know the ones that constantly link up NON-outfit posts, despite me saying in the post that it’s called #iwillwearwhatilike. The bloggers that do this get their thumbnails deleted (and blocked if they KEEP doing it), so if it’s not a picture of YOU wearing something, it’ll disappear. That’s why I started the extra #ShareAllLinkUp on a Thursday where anything can be shared… it doesn’t deter the Dump ‘n Runners, however! Lecture over.
Without further ado, let’s get straight onto these fabulous women…
9 Fabulous Women Who Wear What They Like
Fake Fabulous
Samantha is an expert at androgynous looks and I adore this check coat with a roll neck and wide leg trousers. Take note of all her clever finishing touches, from the pom pom gloves to the lightning brooch.
Bag and a Beret
As wonderfully crazy and avant-garde as ever, Melanie outshines herself in a stunning black and white print with a flash of orange lining and touches of boho from the scarf and bag. An inspired mix.
My Small Wardrobe
I’m so glad Carelia finally joined the link up! Her outfit is deceptively monochrome – if you look closely you’ll see everything (apart from the gorgeous black clutch) is in different shades of red and burgundy. SO chic.
Shelbee on the Edge
A wonderfully eclectic outfit that I love from Shelbee: I’d never have thought to put aubergine, leopard print, black and red together but it works beautifully.
The Sequinist
A cheetah coat to die for (but of course no animals did #fauxfur), exquisite black bow heels and a veiled beret. Far, far, too chic an outfit from the ever-glam Lisa.
Aquamarina Style
Two fabulous ways to wear a pair of checked trousers from Darlene… how fresh and simple is the first outfit with the plain white tee and sneakers?
✷ ✷ ✷ ✷ ✷
So those were the bloggers that linked up to #iwillwearwhatilike – now I want to share some bloggers who weren’t part of the link up, but whose outfits made me look twice. Each month I’ll pick one for each of these three categories…
The blogger that didn’t link up (but I wish she had…)
Grown and Curvy Woman
Georgette is a blogger who loves colour as much as I do: I’m now desperate to put together a camel, emerald green and leopard print look after seeing this outfit. I’d LOVE it if she linked up her gorgeous outfits every week to inspire my readers.
The blogger with the most inspirational photoshoot
Miss Pandora
I nearly died when I saw these photos – rainbow stripes on rainbow stripes?! Ughh my heart can’t take it, it’s far too fabulous. This post features another photo shoot from Louise that’s also worth checking out: a sort of Sixties-inspired futuristic outer space thing. Photos and locations to die for, in other words.
The blogger with the most jaw-dropping outfit
Finding Paola
A red, strapless, tiered and pleated-beyond-belief dress. All topped off with that beautiful mustard yellow turban and a matching red lip. Absolutely incredible – I have a huge blogger crush on Paola (who knocks it out the park every time).
I hope you enjoyed this second post of this new monthly series; remember, if you don’t want to miss any more then make sure you sign up for email updates!

Oh good I’m so glad MT!! It was a bit of a risk to do it monthly but everyone seems to enjoy them 🙂
All these looks (and ladies!) are fabulous, but Miss Pandora in that stripes on stripes look! I’m DYING! I want to live in that magical stripey place and twirl my days away in a candy color stripey dress! I’ve never seen her before, so thanks for sharing her here.
Bettye

I died too when I saw it, Bettye!! 😉 Being French of course she oozes style…
I adore Melanie’s look at Bag and a Beret., but Darlene’s checked trousers are coming a close second. The more I look around at women my age, the more I think it’s those who embrace their own style are the most inspirational. Perhaps that’s more the confidence they emit. It shines through on every one of these women. Rachel Zoe talks about you wearing the clothes and not the clothes wearing you, and that’s what is happening in each of these pics. These women are owning it. It’s fabulous!

You’re so right about women our age being inspirational Elizabeth – I think maybe it’s because we don’t feel the pressure/need to be so “on trend” so we really DO wear what we like. Thank you for the lovely comment!! x
Wow, Catherine, thanks for including me among all these amazing women, many I know but a few who are new to me and dazzle with their style. It’s always a privilege to be featured by you. xo

My absolute pleasure, Melanie – the B&W was to die for!! x
Oh wow! What a stunning round-up! I have to say, if I had to pick one, I am in love with the long cheetah coat on the Sequinist and I can see why Paola wins for the draw dropping category, stunning! Thanks for always providing such fab inspiration!

It’s my pleasure, Shelbee… you’ve got me looking at leopard/red/burgundy options right now! Thank you for the lovely comments and the support x
You’ve featured some fabulous bloggers. Ya know, I want to go find a stairway like Melanie and see if I can capture her pose!
Author
Hehe yes Melanie always owns that stairwell, Kim!! 😉 thanks hon x
I love Shelbee’s outfit – the color combos together with the leopard print are divine. Definitely going to try burgundy with some leopard. Gosh and that splash of red just takes this outfit to another level. Love it – so wearable. Lise
Lise, thank you so much for your very kind words! This was one of those combinations that I sort of just started throwing things together until something stuck. The purplish burgundy coat was the last thing I added when I couldn’t find any coat that matched. When I put it on, it felt like a magical combination!

Thanks for the fab comment Lise, so glad you liked Shelbee’s outfit as much as I did! x
Sweet Catherine!! Thanks so much for featuring my very first look. I finally took the plunge and did it!! This is the very first time I join a link up, so I was like “how do you get this done”?…lol. I noticed that we also can share Instagram outfits in your link up, so I will give that a try as well. By the way, I agree about Georgette! She should join us in here. I love her vibrant and well-put-together style.
Thanks Catherine for sharing stylish ladies to your fashionable community.

OH gosh Catherine, thank you so much for featuring me! I know (and ADORE) several of the other women you feature. Now I’m off to go explore the other ones. I got sucked right in by a few of their photos already. Thank you for always turning up such great treasures and championing other women. You are such a gem. xx

Thank you Rena! xx
Thank you Catherine, I hadn’t heard of several of these and I’m trying to get my act together with a proper Blog Roll, so this definitely gives me some more blogs to check out! I am guilty of posting the occasional non-outfit post on the wrong link up– completely by mistake…….so sorry. My organizational skills are being tested to their absolute limits running 3 accounts!
Thanks for pointing out these bloggers!
