I’ve gone all preppy again – you know you can’t stop me…!
This time I wore my new Fair Isle sweater from Seasalt Cornwall (some of you may have seen me trying on sweaters on my Instagram feed) with smart white trousers (last seen here) and my silver/white brogues. I wore this outfit to the Nuffnang Bloggers Workshop last weekend – I picked up lots of great tips from the excellent guest speakers and will be sharing these in a separate post with you very soon.
Here is one tip for you, however: Do not wear a shirt and sweater combo to a blogger workshop, unless you know you’re going to a venue that’s got chilly aircon. Even though it was the end of November, it was an incredibly mild day in London (i.e. I didn’t really need a coat whilst crossing the river on Blackfriar’s Bridge), and I got really, really hot. The brogues were great because I needed flats for jumping on and off trains and tubes, so that’s one thing I did get right at least. I think I’ve been so used to working in freezing cold offices for so many years that the thought of being inside in winter without a sweater was alien to me. Lesson learnt!
Have you been to any blogger workshops or events lately? If so, what did you wear – and did you find you were practically dressed? Do share in the comments 🙂
P.S. If you like this, why check out what I wore to the Next Bloggers Workshop last year or the SW Blog Social in the summer – all very different…!

Such a pretty colour combination in your Fair Isle sweater, dearest Catherine…I always love blue and green together!! And I haven't yet had the pleasure of attending a blogger event, but I'm looking forward to learning from your experience!! 😉

Ohhh Coco you're such a sweetheart! Thank you!!
No one invites me to workshops or events 🙁 Which I guess is a good thing, cause I'm too shy 😀
Loving the brogues….don't even have words how awesome they are!!!
Ohhh Keit….!!! But to be fair I simply applied for tickets – I wasn't "invited" as such… same with the last two workshops I went to!! And I thought you would like these shoes, they're very 'you'! Thanks hun x

I have to say I agree with you, Lauren…!! Thank you x
I never think to wear white trouser during winter, but this shows that there is no reason why I shouldn't Really great outfit Catherine and I love those brogues. x
They're actually a bit easier than white jeans, Lotty – and winter white is always a winner if you ask me…! Thank you my lovely x
What a gorgeous sweater! You look fabulous!

Aww Stephanie thank you – I was really pleased with my new purchase, I'm glad you love it too x
Hi Catherine, I hope you are well. xx Those shoes – hello lover! Lately I can't decide whether to put on a sweater as I'm too hot or too cold, it seem to be freezing in the morning but by mid-day it seem to be really mild and you're looking like a twat wearing 3 layer of clothes. Oh well the weather suppose to change over the weekend. Speaking of weekend – have a great weekend. xx

Anna thank you so much for your lovely comment! I know what you mean about getting it wrong when it's cold in the morning then warms up as the day goes on… it's so hard to know what to wear at times like those!! And happy weekend to you too x
I wore a sweater today to the office and it's always cold there so it was okay. I totally forgot that I had a gift wrapping event that I attended and had to wrap a ton of presents. I was not prepared and did not layer so I could not take off my sweater and I thought I was going to die from over heating. I feel your pain. Great sweater and I am in love with shoes.

Hope to see you for TBT fashion link up.
Ohhh no Alice poor you getting all sweaty in your sweater!!! I think getting overheated can be as bad as being freezing cold…! Thank you hun :))
Very pretty sweater. I always like the bold jewelry with sweaters.
I don't think I do it enough, Danette… you've made me think I should, though! Thank you for coming by x
That's a lovely, timeless sweater.
And I'm craving those brogues. xox
Thought you'd be after the brogues, Patti…!!! Thank you my lovely x
Those shoes are adorable !

Aww thank you Monica xx
I really like this look! I am looking for a good pair of (off)white trousers for winter but haven't found them yet. And again I'm worried about the cold! No socks! Under 10 degrees Celsius I have to cover my ankles.
Hehe it was a very mild day, Irmin… normally I would never go bare-ankled in November!! And thank you x
Very nice sweater!
Thanks Martina!!
Beautiful sweater 🙂
Glad you think so, thanks Ivana! x
