Not only is this the outfit I wore to the South West Blog Social in Exeter a couple of Saturdays ago, but I’m also offering a £50 gift voucher in a Zalando UK giveaway! The (I’ve wanted one of these for so long), and amazing are all from Zalando, which has become one of my favourite online retailers. The range they stock is vast, they do free delivery, plus the prices range from the very, very affordable to designer prices – something for all tastes and budgets. (Scroll down for the Rafflecopter widget to enter the giveaway.) I also wore my fabulous kuka-me silver earrings and ring – which received a lot of compliments on the day – and my trusty once again… it just goes with everything.
The SW Blog Social was a great medium-sized blogger event, with guest speakers, workshops and pop-up shops – and held in Exeter which is just down the road from me. (It’s not often that an event is held near me down here in the South West.) It was really well organised and a lot of fun – I met some great girls and made some good contacts. For me the most valuable information was a talk on how to get your work as a writer published – as a new freelance writer I need all the advice I can get, and I learnt a lot from writer/guest speaker Maria McCarthy (thank you Maria)! Blogger meet ups and events are always, always a fabulous way to connect with the blogging community – if you haven’t been to one, then just take a deep breath and go 🙂
So back to the giveaway: if you’re a UK resident then you could win £50 to spend with Zalando – it’s an online voucher so you can put it towards something if you see something over that amount. I’ve selected a few pieces below that are all £50 or less for you to see what you could get with your money… good luck!
Sweatshirt: c/o , Scarf: c/o, Chinos: La Redoute, Heels: c/o, Bag: c/o, Earrings & Ring: c/o kuka-me, Nails: Nails Inc Bluebell (is similar)
All entries must be made via the widget below. As it’s in association with Zalando UK it’s open to UK residents only – but my British traffic has increased quite a lot recently so it’s a way to say thank you to you lovely Brits. One of the mandatory entries is to leave a comment on this post with your best blogging tip – this was one of the things we were asked to Tweet about at the blogger meet – so get thinking, Brit Bloggers!
a Rafflecopter giveaway
Good Luck!
- Entries for the giveaway can only be made via the widget above.
- It is open to UK residents only (the voucher is only valid for the Zalando UK site which only delivers to the UK).
- The giveaway ends on 7 July 2014 at midnight BST – the winner will be chosen at random via the Rafflecopter widget, contacted by email and announced on the widget and via Twitter.
- The winner must reply to my email within 48 hours to claim the prize, otherwise another winner will be chosen.

write about what you enjoy reading 🙂
Don't do what everybody else does, but,, don't be too different
My best tip is add tags to your post so simular ones are easy to find. Love the top!
images
Avoid anything thats slows loading time. It affects your google pr.
Im not a blogger as i dont have time, but i do love reading blogs, so my tip as a reader would be detailed reviews and honesty.. nice pictures too 🙂
Be interesting!
My blogging tip is to right about something that hasn't been covered before
Make a blogging plan so you know what you are doing and its your blog so blog what you want to
Love tutorials on a blog
Felicity kelly
Be honest, if you don't like something about an item your reviewing say so and say why.
I would love to blog, but I can never seem to find the time to start. Love reading blogs that are up to date with the latest news and trends
I'm not a blogger either, but I love reading reviews and personal experiences
im not a blogger, but i like to read reviews that are honest.. good or bad
Only post if you want to and have something to say
Just be yourself 🙂
I'm new to blogging, but interesting reading with a touch of humour I think goes a long way
Greta giveaway! My tip is pretty simple, and just blog about what you love! Don't try to please everyone, just make sure you're happy 🙂 xx
when you start up it helps if you do some small giveaways; you'll gain followers to get you up and running.
Be honest to the people who are reading your blogs and try to have fun while your doing them as if your not having fun doing them people will notice.
Keep to a schedule, whether that's daily, weekly or somewhere in between. Nothing's worse than a blog that hasn't been updated in a month or more – you'll lose followers. Oh – and leave comments on other people's blogs – they may reciprocate! 😉
Me gusta mucho la combinación del look, no era fácil combinar el gersey con un pañuelo, y lo has hecho muy bién, enhorabuena!!! Me encanta que me sorprendan!!!
Be interesting and topical but also vary it a bit sometimes to get new viewers
Love this outfit Perfect heels 🙂

Helpful information that is interesting and relevant to read
I would say, to offer photographs that illustrate your points and to not over explain things with too much text.
A blog should have beautiful, clear photos
Those shoes!!!! SO adorable! You look fab as always!

Your blog should be honest, that's the main thing in my opinion.
Such a beautiful scarf!
Alex – Funky Jungle
My best blogging tip is to write for yourself in the first place – your voice is really important and it will shine through!

Love those shoes!
I'm not a blogger myself but i love blogs that are quirky and engaging with lots of picture's/photo's to provide interest and help get the point across
Try to stick to a timetable for posts – it doesn't have to be every day, it could only be once or twice a week but commit to it and stick to it so your readers know what to expect
Oh darn…too bad this giveaway is only for UK residents, dearest Catherine!! I'm head-over-heels for anything striped right now, and I would have loved to use the voucher for that adorable Esprit dress!! Polka dots are next on my list, though; love the "sassiness" they give your look today!! And that Birkin-style bag is sooo gorgeous!! XOXO

Be yourself (and use spell check!)
I've only blogged for a little while, so I don't really have good tips to give yet, but I think making your posts easy and pleasant to read is super important (proper grammar and spelling included!). 🙂
I loved this outfit when you wore it to the SW blog event. Maria McCarthy was my favourite speaker too, but I did miss a few due to being downstairs and missing any announcements. I'm not sure I have a best blogging tip, but I do think staying in touch with other bloggers and being active on social media is crucial, to keep informed of what is going on in the blogging world, and also to feel part of something bigger, not getting bogged down in your own blog.
I love the way you teamed your polka dot print top with the printed neck scarf. And the pops of neon look striking. Wonderful as always Catherine 🙂
Take care,
Daniella xox
I love your outfit 🙂 My best blogging tip is to blog about things you feel strong about, and to blog when you feel like it, not when you feel you should. But most of all enjoy it.
Be honest and always be yourself 🙂
best blogging tip i would say is be social, whether that be blog hops or replying to comments or on twitter. Making friends (a la You my lovely) is one of the best parts of blogging :)xxx
write frequently – no one wants an un-updated blog
Write lots of reviews and hauls!
Write for yourself!
Great scarf and top combo!

I prefer blogs where the page is nice and clear, sometimes the backgrounds can make the fonts harder to see. I like to read a variety of articles so as long as the variety is there then there should be something for everyone!
Write about what you love
Always speak the truth, that is what people want to hear.
Offer competitions to increase viewings, add interest and get people excited!
Write what you know.
My blogging tip would be not to give up at first when no-one comments as readership takes a while to grow so you have to be patient.
Also I was going to go to the SW Blog Social as I live nearby too but was nervous about going alone – wish I had gone! 🙂

My blogging tip would be to not be afraid to promote yourself! Get involved in Twitter chats and push out your content on social channels x
My tip would be don't try to be anyone else! Love the polkadot top Catherine x
I'm new to blogging so at the moment don't feel qualified to give a tip, other than blog about things you enjoy.
My best tip is to network with bloggers both in- and outside of your niche.
Comment on other peoples blog posts! Also honesty is the best way to write 🙂
Keep it real!
honesty esp when doing reviews, if you don't like something tell your readers the truth about it 🙂
Love the dots with the classic scarf. Blog tip: write what you're thinking about, passionate about or annoyed about. Keep it personal and authentic. xox
I love that scarf and sweater together, and the shoes are amazing:)
Write every day, without fail. If you don't not only will your blog look sparse, but you will lose touch with your creativity. It needs to be used to improve.
Stunningly Inept
I would never think to pair that scarf and that sweater together but you've done it with ease! Thanks for inspiring me to get a little bolder with my patterns!
Write lists. Write lots and lots of lists! When you think of an idea, write it down straight away. Even if you think it's a silly one. Sometimes silly ideas, develop into brilliant ones. But you'll never know if you've already forgotten it!
Make your blog as personal to your style as possible
Write what you want to read. Be yourself 🙂
Love those heels – in fact the whole outfit looks chic! I am not a blogger but so I will tell you what I most like to see – photos of the blogger so we can see the person behind the posts thank you!
Love the sweater! My best tip would be to always include an image… just text can look bland on the page.
