Summer Sightseeing Outfit | Coral, Lilac and Cobalt Brights

Summer colours - coral, cobalt and lilac
My reserve of summer sightseeing outfits from my holiday last month just keeps on giving! This time I went all-out with the brights with a coral cardigan, lilac midi skirt (previously seen here and here) and a bright cobalt bag. We went somewhere I've wanted to visit for years: St. Michael's Mount in Cornwall, a tidal island that you can only access on foot from the mainland at low tide by a man-made walkway (see the last image taken from the beach on the mainland). It has a medieval castle, gorgeous hillside gardens and a charming harbour (where we took the pictures), as well as a lovely cafĂ©/restaurant that looks out over the sea. Definitely worth a visit if you're ever Cornwall-bound.

I adore several bright, saturated colours in one outfit at this time of year - the lilac and coral are summer-perfect together and the cobalt gives the warmer colours a lovely contrast. The blue aviators were a happy accident, mirroring the colour of the bag (see what I did there?), and I do like the fact that my hair adds yet another colour into the mix.

What summer colours are you mixing this year? Does your hair add another colour to your outfit (or do you match your accessories to it like I often do) - do share in the comments, my little lammies!

  1. Love this location - there is a similar little island in the Bahamas that we love to visit - at low tide! Great outfit and hat, xox.

  2. Your outfit looks so cool and lovely for a Summer's day. I bet you were so much more comfortable than the poor sunburnt lady in the last photo. :o)

  3. Great colours!

  4. Love this look! - and - where you went! I had a French teacher in high school who always spoke so fondly about this particular location.

  5. You look fabulous! I'm definitely going for lots of mints and pastels this summer.

  6. Wait a minute there is one in Cornwall as well??? Love you smile its so cute and the glasses are fabulous with the hat. I have only been to Mt St Michel in the North of France when I was studying Medieval English and loved it. Have a great weekend. And I love your headlines, too, in case I havent said that yet:) Sabina @Oceanblue Style

  7. Your skirt is gorgeous! I must say Asos does make some really pretty skirts.
I'm into pastel and lighter colors lately. Besides denim, I tend to buy quite a few things in pastel colors. Oh, and my hair kind of gets lighter by the minute. LOL! I am not sure if I should do the 2 tones thingy but for now I'm pretty happy with a lighter shade of brown with a hint of redness =)

  8. Oh wow, dear Catherine...St.Michael's Mount looks like something out of a fairytale!! And you fit right in with your colourful outfit...who would have ever thought that lilac and coral played so well together?! XO

  9. Love the mix of colors and the mirrored sunnies :) That braid is also darling!
