Or even if you have read them, I’m sure it was ages ago and you’re simply DYING to read them again, aren’t you…?! Older women always make great subjects to talk about so I’ve picked five of the best about us 40 plus ladies.
I’ve challenged myself to write this post, from start to finish, in one hour or less. [Note at the time of hitting publish: it took two and a half.] You may have seen in Monday’s post that we’re in the process of selling our house so it’s all hands to the wheel to get the house ready for viewings which I’m hoping will start as soon as the house has been valued and measured (tomorrow). It’s crazy the amount of rubbish and unseen dirty corners you collate over the years (or is that just us…??) But it’s easy to be ruthless when strangers could be trudging through your home and judging whether your house is suitable for them live in.
I’ll keep you updated – meanwhile, enjoy these posts and have a Happy Wednesday!

“To be honest I like being asked my age. I feel just as proud saying I’m over 40 as I did when I reached the age of 10 and could say “I’m now in double figures!” Sometimes I have a mind block and totally forget exactly how old I am.”
“Readers are more intrigued by a 40+ blogger – you stand out amongst the sea of 20-somethings. No one’s expecting high fashion, so in effect you have free reign to wear whatever you like.”
“We’re doing a lot to let people know that it’s okay to break the rules because, You know what? Wearing a crop top at the age of 40 doesn’t really have that much of a consequence for other people. Wear skirts above the knee if you want.”
“There just seems to be something about the age of 40, more than any other milestone birthday, that sends women everywhere into a major panic. They worry about how society will perceive them if they dress a certain way or continue to wear certain types of clothing, for fear of being called mutton dressed as lamb.”
“The average woman who isn’t involved in the crazy-ass business of sharing her outfits on the internet is affected far more by advertising – and sees not herself, but a lot of 22 year olds modelling clothes aimed at the 35 or 40+ market. If I go to the shopping pages of most brands that have an older target customer, I’ll very, very rarely see someone of the same age staring back at me.”
