It’s taken till now for me to share these pictures taken at the end of last year with you – more windy weather, and yet another challenging photo shoot…!
We had quite a bit of cold (but sunny weather) over Christmas, so I got my layers on and went bright with camel, pink and black.
The longline Asos blazer (on sale) is proving to be a really smart buy, and I love how it’s a really warm, rich camel colour… I’ve found it looks so good thrown on over practically anything. This is also the second outing on the blog for my super-comfy black boots – you can see what I wore with them first time and read why I love them so much in this post.
This outfit is the perfect mixture of old and new: old snood (love the pattern) and sweater (love the colour), new boots and blazer. Anyone else still loving really old pieces in their wardrobes? Do share in the comments!

You know that the person makes clothes to looks good, so whatever you wear, it just shining on you! With this outfit you looks adorable as usual. I like this happy winter scarf!

That's a lovely compliment – thank you Lydia!
I always feel proud when I can wear an old piece and still feel smashing! It means i made a wise choice. Goal is for whole closet to be wise choices and only buy a few new pieces each year. Getting there, getting there…..thanks for showing us how to have fun with clothes whatever our age. Let snooties who want to relagate us to orthopedic shoes go jump in the lake!
Hehe I LOVE your attitude, Sand Pile – and I agree about still loving old pieces. Makes you feel so proud of yourself for making such a wise choice, doesn't it…?!!! Thanks so much for your lovely comments x
I adore how you have layered these pieces! I love how the pink pops with the camel! Adorable!

Ooops, typed a long comment and it disappeared…. :((((((
I wanted to say, dear Catherine, you look very fresh and beautiful in these colors! And there is nothing better than a mix of old and new items. I'm very loyal to my wardrobe, and keep almost everything I love, and I love almost everything. 🙂 Yeah, some call it hoarding, I know. :)))

Ohh Blogger is terrible when it comes to long comments, V – I think if you take too long it just goes "NOPE" when you then hit publish… I think it's a timing out thing. But thank you for taking the trouble!
Thank you for the lovely comment that *did* get through – I can't believe you keep everything!! I don't have enough room for what I do have, never mind what I purge every year ;))
Hope you're well sweetie x
Beautiful as always:-)
Aww bless you, Nieco – thank you x
I love wearing bright colors year round. I'm so happy to see not everyone is wearing black this time of year.

I've not a lot of black for so many years, Michelle!! It tends to only come out when I go out in the evening. Though saying that, I have been doing the neutrals (including some black) for a few weeks now. Thanks sweetie x
I'm not a big fan of pink but I think a pop of bright pink is good. Jumper works great with the camel coat, I really need one its a classic

I didn't think that the pink was going to work so well with the hot pink before I tried, Lauren… I do love this colour combo so thank you, I appreciate that xx

Gah, I hate wind!!!! And I love this pinky ensemble of yours! The scarf is incredible, I need one! O_O
Hehe you're with me, on the wind then, Keit! I bet you get really icy winds in Bulgaria?!! Thanks hun xx
the weather never wants to cooperate, we are having snow, winds and frigid temperatures, trying to persevere but man it is hard taking out door pictures. Love this look
Woahhh that sounds harsh, Linda!! We're having cold weather where my hands get frozen to the bone and I can't feel my face during photo shoots, but I guess I should be thankful it's not snowing as well 😉
Thanks sweetie x
Gorgeous. I love bright colors in the winter and this looks fabulous!
And ohhhh I love brights on you, Gracey – for some reason I always think of you in bright blue…?!! Thanks my lovely xx
Beautiful scarf and sweater 🙂

Aww thanks Jeanne for your lovely comments (as always)!
Oh yes, I am wearing my long cream Acne unic. An edgy piece that didn't get a lot of outings so far. With a new necklace and new silver boots it is a perfect outfit. Really lovely. I am so pleased. Also with myself for coming up with this outfit haha.
Greetje
Ahhh Greetje those silver boots are divine!! Sounds perfect with the tunic :))
Beautiful outfit again❤️ I envy your skill to mix colours!
Thank you sweetie so much – you're a love! xx
Some of my favourite items of clothing are around 5 years old. I'm not one to buy a new wardrobe each season.
I love those boots.
