Ways To Wear Blush Pink | With Winter White & Burgundy

Winter white, blush pink & pointed heels

I’ve been wanting to wear these blush pink trousers again since I wore them on Boxing Day, and winter white was a natural choice to go with them.

Not only did I pick up a bargain snood in the palest pink in the Asos sale but also the bargain of all bargains: the burgundy pointed heels from New Look. Sadly they’re now sold out, but I’m not surprised as they were reduced to just £11.00…! I was so excited that a pair was still left in my size when I saw them that they went straight into my basket, and I asked myself the “Well what can go wrong for 11 quid” question.

Well, things can go wrong it seems. When I received them I tried the left shoe on and it fitted like a dream: so far so good. The other one would have too I’m sure… if it hadn’t been a left shoe as well. I’d been sent two left shoes – now there’s a first. Luckily for me there was still one pair in my size so I ordered them again, and took my chances that I wasn’t going to receive two right ones. I’m glad for my sanity’s sake that it all turned out fine in the end when a left and a right were delivered second time. Panic over!

I absolutely adore these colours together – they couldn’t be more perfect for winter and I think they’re the perfect contrast for my hair. The other item I’m loving is these rose gold teardrop stud earrings from Anna Lou of London: I’m so proud to have been asked to become one of Anna Lou’s brand ambassadors, styling several pieces from their collection each season. These earrings are so pretty and yet just a little bit fierce… they go so well with blush pink and winter white. Keep a look out for more gorgeous Anna Lou of London pieces on the blog over the next couple of months.

Stunning outfit! You have given me some inspiration on how to style a blush pink tulle maxi skirt that I have in my wardrobe for winter.

Thanks Ashley – I have a nude maxi so I think you've given me some ideas back in a way as the heels would go perfectly with it (and pink on the top half)! xx

Gorgeous look, I love the combination of pink and burgundy, on paper it shouldn't work but on it looks divine. Those shoes are fabulous, they look so expensive and elegant x

Yes that was such a bonus that they look so much more expensive than they actually were – even full price they were a bargain…! Thank you sweetie x

Lovely, very refreshing to see pastels in winter. You look gorgeous! Nicely toned up with the spot of Burgundy!

So refreshing to see light colous in winter! It makes a refreshing change from the dark drap ensembles that lots of people (me being one of them) wear!!

Aww thanks Niki – I thought the same (I am guilty of all the darker colours too though in winter)!

Love this blush pink and winter white look, dear Catherine…and that chunky knit snood is positively delicious!! Your shoes were worth all the hassle, too; I once had the same thing happen with a pair of insoles…two left feet, ha ha!!

You look wonderful, and this is the second time today I've seen someone rocking the pink and burgundy combination! Also, thanks for mentioning that jewellery store – I really LOVE rose gold, and want to buy a few new pieces later in the year when budget allows, they have some great stuff so I will be sure to think of them. Oooh blush and burgundy *is* a lovely combination, Sarah – I agree!! Thank you my lovely x

Ah, such a shame, the three of you that are out in the lead all look as though you may be (give or take a centimetre) in the same size category.
Love the shoes – such a great colour. I'm always envious of the shoe shots (everywhere) as I have the widest feet you ever did see and really, can't get shoes to fit.

  19. 19 February 2014 / 7:03 pm

Fabulous shoes ( and a funny story). I really like the snood too, you look lovely. xox

  20. 19 February 2014 / 6:19 pm

Wow, those are some gorgeous shoes. And cheep. Lucky girl. :0 Love the whole outfit. Perfect blush pink and winter white. Great jacket.

I had a two left feet incident with a pair of boots but sadly they sold out, so now I have two left fft in case I ever break a leg ( cannot bear to toss them) Love these shoes though.

  22. 19 February 2014 / 6:01 pm

I love this outfit! Simple yet sophisticated, feminine yet (to use your word) fierce. Those shoes are killer! This is one of those effortless, "I just threw this on and I look fabulous" outfits. Well done!
