This was a thrown-together outfit worn to visit my parents the other weekend – sometimes the simple ones are the best.
I was so happy to see this sweater again when getting it out in my twice-yearly seasons clothing swap: the Zara beauty that I bought last year after seeing it on the mighty Blair of Atlantic Pacific. It just needed a skinny belt to define the waist a little, some wide-leg pants and a messy up-do. Job done.
In fact it was such an easy dressed-up outfit that I seem to omit all jewellery except for my watch… I think the sparkles in the sweater do the job however!
I hope everyone has a great weekend… not long to go now!
Sweater: Zara AW 2011, Pants: Coast (old), Belt: ASOS, Heels: French Connection, Watch: Jasper Conran at Debenhams
I tried on that Zara jumper last year, but it looked hideous on me! You make it look tres chic. I am gutted it didn't work for me 🙁

I definitely remember this sweater making the rounds last year! I really like it paired with wide leg pants. I love the photo where you're profile is visible, very statuesque. Beautiful.

SUCH an interesting sweater! I am so bummed we lost our Zara at our local mall–
I have to look more at Zara as I think this sweater is a beauty.
That Rachel is a clever one. I would not have seen that these were your wedding trousers. And I did take a close look at them at the time.
What a wonderful shape to the sleeves as well! Ravishing as always, dear Catherine. xoxo
great photos, you look beautiful!
international giveaway ends tonight on tie-dye-eyes!
I love this outfit. There's something about the simple ones that create such great memories. Maybe it's because there's very little fuss???

I am SO jealous of this sweater! I saw it last season on the same blog too, tried to find it in every single Zara store there is in Munich, online too, but the fashion gods were not with me this time. It looks amazing *sigh* 🙂
Love the texture in the sweater – you must get people coming up to you wanting to touch it –
Looks like it was a great mix of dressy and comfortable.
