Hang in there Catherine! You do look wonderful – the shoes are so great, as is the scarf and boyfriend jeans (I am looking for similars right now). The sun will come out . . . tomorrow : >

I feel like we could use a bit of your weather here in the Midwest US–it's been a record-breakingly hot summer so far! Anyway, I'm a new reader and follower–glad I found you (through your gorgeous EBEW outfit)! I love your summer layers!

I love cool, grey weather. I would be happy to completely bypass summer and head straight from spring to autumn. Want to do a house trade next summer?

Those shoes are so great…love this whole look on you.

Tell me about it! I feel like i'm constantly chilly when i'm out, stuck in Spring Transeasonal wear rather then summer wear!

Still i love this look sweetie! I love how you've styled the casual basics with the smarter pieces creating such a beautiful and chic balance! I am especially loving those wedges!! 🙂

    Take care, Daniella xox

    Hello, There!

I just found your blog by way of a comment you made on my friend Whitley's blog, Queen City Style. I love the concept, the wit, and the images! Well Done!

I don't know how you can leave the house not wearing socks – that's how cold it is in Denmark (we're almost neighbors!), but I do love your shoes! In fact I love this whole outfit, the colours are great, and give a summer feel, and one doesn't even notice that you're in fact wearing a sweater and a scarf! In July!

It's nice to see an outfit that is not summery every now and then. I love this look and I think I will steal it from you as soon as the weather starts to cool down 🙂

im so with you, its depressing isnt it? i look at the weather forecast probably 30 times a day, hoping! but news is that from tomorrow it will at least be dry! fingers crossed cos i am struggling big time with what to wear lately! Love this look, geeky is my fav! :)xxx

Ohhhh would that I could trade our 4-day forecast of 108 degree temps for a day cool enough to wear a JACKET AND SCARF. Your fingernails? DOPE. That black ring? NEED. You? ADORABLE.

You are more than welcome to come and visit me in Cyprus. I guarantee you'll get your fill of summer in one afternoon (: I would give anything to wear a sweater and a scarf right now, let alone any as cute as what you put together! nicely done!

I like your nail polish design. It's very cool.

I loooooove the look of blazers and boyfriend style jeans – it looks so effortless. Unfortunately its been 100+ degrees every day for weeks so not as many blazers in my future 🙁

  19. July 19, 2012 / 12:01 am

Oh, your nails are great. Love that.

And don't worry, Oregon hasn't been much better for summer weather. I mean no blazers but still not hot weather. Hopefully this weekend will warm up.

I feel ya- SF Summers are just as brutal as Winter. And I'm so jealous of everyone who is in their summery outfits 🙁 Le sigh.

Great outfit. You look so chic yet casual!

You look so cute! I love those glasses. I hope the weather improves for you – it doesn't feel like summer when you have to wear jeans and jackets, does it?!

Thanks Miss R… the nails are simply done by the nail polish itself, which is magnetic! The instructions are on the bottle: you do one coat then wait for it to dry. Then as soon as you've painted a second coat on each nail, you hold the magnet on the bottle over it and it creates the effect… it's pretty spectacular – easiest nail effects ever! (Most brands seem to be making magnetic polish now but I've found Nails Inc to be the best) C x
