A Christmas Day Jumpsuit and Frilled Choker

Happy Christmas, lovelies – hope you had a wonderful day yesterday full of love and happy stuff!

Just a very quick outfit post today for the #iwillwearwhatilike link up and to show you what I wore for Christmas Day.

I chose a winner of an outfit where Christmas dinner practicality was concerned: A burgundy jumpsuit with a tie-waist. The bathroom issues didn’t bother me when I had an expandable waist to be my friend come mid-afternoon – in fact by the evening, instead of putting my “comfies” on as we say in our family (pyjamas or sweat pants), I just undid the tie on the waist altogether and plonked myself onto the sofa…!

SHOP THE LOOK:

The only accessories I needed were some jewellery and shoes – the choker is a pretty, frilled pearl choker I wore on my birthday last year and block heels are perfect for being on your feet at any sort of celebration or party… In fact I’m wearing fabulously comfy black block heels today (Boxing Day), outfit to be seen at a slightly later date.

And in case you’re thinking the jumpsuit looks familiar, yes it is the same one as my orange jumpsuit – I liked that one so much I bought it in burgundy too!

Do add your outfits to this week’s link up and if you’ve added a link to here or my button to your post you may be featured next week 🙂

#iwillwearwhatilike | Not Dressed As Lamb
Thank you for joining the #iwillwearwhatilike link up! This started as a campaign on Instagram in August 2015 where women over 30 wore everything on a journalist’s list of “inappropriate” items for 30+ women (including leopard print, short dresses and oversized sunglasses. Yes, really). It was so popular that I decided to carry it on weekly where women of all ages link up their fabulous style, never mind what anyone tells them not to wear!

The link up goes live every Monday at 3pm UK time and will stay open for a week. Whilst the original article was of course aimed at the 30+, you can be ANY age to link up. The only criteria is that you’re wearing whatever you damn well like!

I don't think you could have come up with a more perfect outfit combo for a Christmas spent with family and friends, dearest Catherine!! That burgundy colour is STUNNING (bonus points for the matching lippy!) and the frilly choker and your pink block-heeled shoes are truly all you need to take this jumpsuit from merely cute-and-comfy to all-out-festive!! P.S. I grew up with German holiday traditions, and we didn't have Boxing Day…it was called the Second Christmas Day, instead!! So – Merry Christmas one more time!! XOXO

What a gorgeous jumpsuit, I love the color and style on you. And the choker, so unique and pretty! I'm with you, need to be comfortable on Christmas Day! I'd planned to wear a grey wool fitted trumpet hem dress with sparkly pumps and last minute switched to a stretchy black tulip skirt, graphic tee and dark floral blazer…and I was so much more comfortable..and happy! Hope you had a wonderful holiday!
    XOXO
