Summer Dressing on a Windy Clifftop | Loose Trousers, Adidas & a Panama

Summer casual, Panama hat
More from my summer outfits arsenal from my holiday in Cornwall!

We were lucky enough to have chosen “the” week of great weather in June – if you’re not familiar with British weather we often get just one week of glorious weather a year (yes, really), and then that’s the one that everyone remembers in years to come. And last month “the” week coincided with our trip to Cornwall… unbroken sunshine, very warm and no rain. No rain, I tell you!!

We did lots of hill climbing, beach walking and sightseeing, so I was mostly in flat shoes and loose layers – this outfit of baggy cotton trousers and layered tanks was perfect for walking along clifftops. It was super windy so my Panama nearly went for a Burton a few times 😉

Have you been on a summer holiday yet – and if so, what have you been wearing? Is it different to your usual summer attire (depending on what sort of weather you get)? Do share in the comments, lovelies!

So happy that you had picture-perfect weather for your holiday in Cornwall, dearest Catherine…we're still waiting for our summer to start here in Vancouver!! To be honest, the thing I DON'T like about going away on any sort of vacation is not having access to my entire wardrobe…I dress according to mood, and how the heck am I supposed to know what my mood will be before I even get to my destination?! 😉

Oh darned… Clicked on "sign out" instead of publishing. Rats! OK Again.
I think the UK in sunshine is the best place to be. With Italy coming immediately as second. I love the UK in sunshine. And yes I have had my holidays: two weeks, spent mostly in The Netherlands where the weather was beautiful. We have the same weather as the UK so I was very pleased. Did go to Barcelona for three days in that holiday. Adjusted my normal summer attire by wearing ballerinas instead of high heels. Made a post about it.

Your outfit looks comfy, cool and chic all rolled into one.

We had a great week in Devon a few weeks back and unfortunately we hadn't packed for such fabulous weather. A quick shop in the local shops had to kit us out.

Ooh, summer holidays, there's a nice idea… I think I'm going to get to go to Northern Ireland for work in early Aug so I might extend that by a few days to look around. And we've got a small festival in late July so I'm really praying for good weather then. Camping in the rain = not cool!
