Riverside yellow, stripes and sparkle

I’ve worn green or yellow in the last six outfit posts, so spring is definitely having an effect on me! The sun was out this weekend in Blighty so it was nice to have bare feet and not worry about gloves at last. We went and explored the riverside down at the quay in Exeter – it’s so bad that it’s our nearest main town/city and there’s so many parts we’ve never been to. They do say that you never visit the places nearest to where you live…!

Oh and I have a favour to ask: if you have a Facebook account, please please PLEASE vote for me in this month’s Accessorize Style Icon competition! The winner receives a load of Accessorize vouchers – if I were to win I would host a giveaway with a fabulous item (or two) from their range just for you, dear followers!

Click on the photo to take you to Facebook, then “Like” Accessorize and click on “Photo Competition” on the left. You’ll then see my photo for you to click and vote! It’s while since I’ve hosted a giveaway (mostly because of lack of time) so it will be nice to give something back to say thank you for all your lovely comments and support.

Thanks guys so much!

Thanks Cambria…! It is one of my "special" bags, I don't use it nearly as often as I should! Catherine x

O my word I bought those loafers and I returned them because I didn't feel like I could pull them off! But you look GREAT! Wish I had kept them now 🙂

Isn't that funny, Sacramento, I so don't think I look (particularly) good in skirts!! I think I should wear the many that I have more often, thank you for being so sweet! xoxoxo

Every woman should have a blazer with stripes – it's so versatile, especially in black and gray. Today it looks great with yellow. I love your gold jewellery. A very inspiring outfit all together.

I love my loafers, which are much like yours. This is a perfect outfit for exploring one's own neighborhood. The past couple of years we've been exploring our area and have found many interesting places.

Mine are metallic, Terri – not sure if you can tell that from the photos…? Are yours too?! Thanks for stopping by! C x

That necklace is fantastic! But what I love most about this outfit is that your hair and your shoes seem to match 🙂

    • 14 March 2012 / 1:51 pm

Aha Stacey – you've found me out… I do actually treat my hair as an extra colour in my outfits, so I often use the excuse to wear one single reddish brown or tan item because it matches my hair!! Thanks hun xoxo

Great color combination. I'm looking to add some yellow to my wardrobe. I love how it looks with eggplant and deep teal/turquoise.

I just love this whole look…I never would have put the shoes and jacket together…but it really looks great! Good job…I will vote!

Absolutely love the yellow with the black and gray blazer. I'm going to have to keep that in mind.

    And I need that bag.

Also, I used to hate mustard tights on myself too, but I finally made them work for me this winter. It was a struggle though!

    • 14 March 2012 / 11:09 am

Thanks, lovely Gracey – unfortunately the bag was a limited edition and I couldn't find anything similar to link to 🙁 Catherine x
