Top: ASOS, Belt: Topshop, Skirt: Vintage – thrifted, Heels:
Tiffany Blue: what a gorgeous colour. This top is new (season) from ASOS – it was described as Mint but I think Tiffany Blue sounds much nicer. (Normally I wait till things are on sale before buying, but I loved it so much I got it straight away. I did however use a 20% voucher, so still didn’t pay full price…!)
But did you know:
The Tiffany Blue colour is protected as a colour trademark by Tiffany & Co. It’s produced as a private custom colour by Pantone, with PMS number 1837, the number deriving from the year of Tiffany’s foundation. As a trademarked colour, it is not publicly available and is not printed in the Pantone Matching System swatch books. (Source: wikipedia) That’s pretty cool, if you ask me.
And oh how I Y the little bows on the sleeves. I liked the top contrasted against my 70s woolly maxi skirt 😉
P.S. Please don’t forget if you have a minute to vote for me on Refinery29’s Next Big Style Blogger contest (see this post for all the details), I’d really appreciate it… and if you have already – thank you so much!!!

Heehee thank you Shana! And I can highly recommend ASOS… great service and their sales are brilliant. I challenge anyone to find an outfit of mine without at least ONE item from ASOS!! C xx
Saw this and thought of you! http://www.etsy.com/listing/60408046/copper-hair-pin-medium-circles-in-the?ref=cat2_gallery_30
Oh Tammy it's so pretty, thanks for the link…! If only my hair was as red as hers!! C x
Oh my that is one great outfit! I like long skirts like that, unfortunately I'm short! You have a great blog 🙂
Aww thank you so much Daisy, so glad you think so! Catherine x
That kind of makes me want to trademark my own color. Not to use it really, just so I can say I did. And forbid people from using it. Mwahaha. 🙂

Do you know what, Jenn, I thought just that when I was writing the post… I came up with Catherine Cream (hmm, bit dull) or Lamb Lavender. Doesn't quite have the same ring to it??!! C x
Loving the colors, patterns and especially those shoes! Thanks for finding us on R29 and for your sweet comment on our blog! Keeping up with you on bloglovin now!

Julianna, you are so sweet, thank you so much! C x
You. Are. Gorgeous. I mean, the outfit is fun but I can't stop thinking how pretty you are! (Is that creepy? I hope not.)
Not creepy, Ambulus – just incredibly flattering, thank you!! What a lovely thing to say… gosh what lovely comments today!! I'm :))))))))))) xx
i'm dying for your hair right now! love the little braid. so simple but fresh, too. i pinned this post so i will remember to do my hair like that when it gets a bit longer 🙂
Aww thank you, Bethany – the picture doesn't quite show it, but the plait is hair from both sides – instead of doing it in the centre it's a fishtail plait done on the right side of my head. You can sort of see the piece of hair that's been swept round from the left – it looks like a darker piece of hair where a low ponytail would be tied. I made it up simply to save my arms aching at the back!! C xoxo
that skirt is amazing. i love your shoes. and your hair is awesome. i mean, basically, you look gorgeous. 🙂
Gosh, thank you, Deanna… what a fabulous compliment!! You are such a sweetheart! Catherine x
