Nautical Pleats Please

Dressed for Saturday shopping today – nice simple white tee and a mad vintage skirt. I’ve had the skirt for a while but found it hard to style it; it was simply a case of finding the right belt (I like the fact that the knot on the belt echoes the nautical theme) and keeping the top half simple.

Anyway had a bit of a mini shopping spree in Exeter’s excellent vintage shop The Real McCoy today – found a couple of amazing winter pieces and now I simply can’t wait for the weather to get really cold. You’ll see them in all their vintage glory as soon as it’s freezing outside (judging by the past two winters it won’t be long).

I love this vintage skirt! And those wedges! I think you did a great job picking that belt to continue the nautical theme.

I always have a hard time picking tops to wear with such colorful skirts. I'm trying to wear mixed patterns more often, but sometimes it's easier to just wear a white shirt. I could totally see myself in your outfit!
