In my Best of the Blogosphere this month I have real life post-baby bellies, Ziegfeld girl costumes, scary fashion stories and more!
(In case you’ve not seen these posts before my Unmissable Reads are a monthly round-up of things I’ve seen, watched and liked in the blogosphere that I’m sure you’ll love too.)
I’m featuring quite a few fabulous outfits I’ve seen this month as well as some inspirational, some sad and some downright hilarious stories. October always brings great Halloween-related content – but not your usual run-of-the-mill ways to carve a pumpkin or how to dress your autumnal table, oh no… this stuff is far more interesting than that!
Do have a read of these great links – you never know who or what you might discover that makes your day/week/month!

Hats off to Sarah Nicole, an Instagrammer with incredible model looks, who proudly shared a picture of her body that carried three children. Not the “pinged back into shape” belly you’d expect, but something wonderfully honest and real.
This could be the dreamiest Halloween outfit ever: a BEAUTIFUL Ziegfeld Follies costume.
Not only is Carelia’s outfit elegant and classy, but the location and warm light of the golden hour made it a magical photo shoot.
Top UK fashion blogger Victoria has written about fake Instagram engagement – something that’s been written about before, but her analogies of how it’s similar to fraud in other industries are spot on.
Georgette wears the most beautiful combination of mauve and baby blue (with a hint of yellow thrown in).
Blair Eadie has partnered with Nordstrom for an amazing collection for AW18 and made a fabulous video to promote it… I need everything she’s wearing.
I’m loving Ashley’s top tips for displaying house plants (her collections and groups of plants are stunning).
In Germany they have The British Shop selling (you guessed it) British brands – Annette looks fantastic in her faux fur-trimmed Barbour jacket and wellies.
Poor Vicki was recently confronted by totally apathy when she hit her head (badly) in a train station – what IS the matter with people when someone’s clearly in need of help?
As she’s an amazing-looking 51 year old, I loved reading about Michelle’s ever-evolving skincare routine (I’ve heard a lot about Perricone MD so it was interesting to read her thoughts).
Giving Amal Clooney (at Harry and Meghan’s wedding) a run for her money, this might be the most elegant yellow dress ever.
Liz has showcased the best logo charity sweatshirts (I need the “working from home one” stat).
Cyn considers what “living our best lives” really means (and looks incredible while doing so).
A beautiful letter written to her daughter on her 20th birthday by Susan.
Lisa KILLS it in her LBD, dressing it for the school run, a lunch meeting and an evening do in one day… all three looks are so glam.
After the horrific plastics situation was highlighted once again in the BBC’s Drowning in Plastics documentary, Tracey has started saying no to plastics with a simple change we can all make.
I love these scary fashion stories in time for Halloween – clothing disasters and stories that might make you recoil in horror…
A stunning red gown, all the pearls you can imagine and a pig named Banksy. That’s all you need to know.
And in case you’re thinking the blog looks a little different, here’s my post explaining what’s changed – and what will be changing – around here!

Thanks so much for including me here, what an amazing array of posts-off to read. I felt so utterly vulnerable and frightened when I’d hit my head. I was bleeding and worried about concussion and no one on the platform cared a dot. A woman stood outside the toilet didn’t even rush to get me tissues. Thankfully a lady on the train helped. Did make me worry about our society. Vx
