Weekend Style | Graphic Tee, Khaki Pants, Lace Up Heels

Autumnal casual style | Graphic tee, khaki pants, lace-up heels
This outfit’s a bit of a mish-mash of styles – smart (leather tote), casual (khaki pants) and on-trend (lace-up heels) – but then I’m always one for a bit of contrast. Sometimes it’s good not to worry too much about well things “go” together and just run with it. If it works, it works, if it doesn’t, it doesn’t… Does it really matter? If we didn’t experiment a bit and make a few mistakes we’d never get out of our comfort zone and just keep wearing the same thing every day.

So as far as this outfit goes: I like it. Does it work? Maybe, maybe not. But I like it, and that’s what counts.

How much do you experiment with your look? Are you a tried-and-trusted-outfit kind of girl, or do you throw in surprises now and then to test yourself… Do let me know in the comments!

I think the outfit is fabulous while being relaxed, comfortable, and fun! Exactly my kind of style (for chasing little people all day long!) And you are totally working it, too.

I don't experiment as much as I should!

I like to look effortless, like I don't try hard or spend ages thinking about what I'm going to wear. I think we're living in a time where anything goes so mixing trends is the in thing. You outfit is fun, love the graphic tee!

    I love to experiment Catherine!
Even if the outcome draws curious glances and the occasional "smart-arse" comment (I was Clint Eastwood yesterday according to a very cheeky gentleman on my way to work)…doing double denim and a cape.
I completely agree with your experimenting sentiment.
It doe not really matter if the outfit is a success or a fail……Love it, rock it and it then works!
If other people don't like what we wear does it really matter that much? Does it affect their lives in any way? No.
We should all experiment and have more fun….I have just added a coloured tights link to your fab link up (cobalt blue). They caused confused looks but they could certainly NOT be described a dull or boring or predictable.
Much like your style Catherine….. Never dull, never boring, never predictable!
Keep doing what you are doing.
