There’s something about wearing a classic trenchcoat with a blanket-fabric skirt and a masculine hat that makes me think er, bag lady.
It’s a little bit eccentric, quite thrown-together and very comfortable. Add a print, a splash of bright colour and it’s so me.
I’ve had these boots for quite a few years now and I’m not kidding – they go with EVERYTHING. I ummed and aahed about buying them in tan at the time: should I play it safe and buy black? In the end I chose tan, and I’m so glad I did; it’s so much more versatile with my bright wardrobe than black. Plus a note about skirts: the new length midi skirt has been a godsend for me – I really feel like I’ve found my ideal skirt length (see others here, here and here).
Happy (nearly) end of the week folks!

Those boots! I LOVE them. I think they are the cutest boots I have ever seen..Victorian chic.
I have been sporting a side braid lately, too. Don't you just love long hair. It's so fun to play with.
