As always I’m keen to constantly find new inspiration and give a little shout out to some of the older bloggers who are either just starting out or maybe don’t get seen in all parts of world (as much as they do in their home country). I’m so pleased to have also found several European fashion bloggers this time around: When I last featured over 40 bloggers, 9 out of the 11 I featured were US-based… it’s just who had come to my attention in the months leading up to that post.
Europeans don’t often get publicised outside of their own country very much so I was really pleased to find bloggers from Sweden, Poland, Spain and good old Blighty. I think styles differ quite a bit between continents, and even then from country to country, so it’s great to have this mix.
This is actually my fourth list of over 40 bloggers that I’ve compiled over the last three years (here are links to the first, second and third ones, or see my full list of featured bloggers that includes everything from romantic style to preppy style and petites to mid-size bloggers) – I’m so happy and proud of my fellow midlifers to know that they’re creating an endless supply of inspirational content and style.
Something to note: I have called this list of bloggers All New, which is not necessarily to mean that they’ve only been blogging a short while (however that is the case with some of them), but more that they’re completely new to me. I’ve not seen them featured anywhere already, so I wanted to give them a mention in this post to highlight the fact that over 40 blogs aren’t restricted to the same seven or eight that the media always seem to feature over and over again.
As well as seeing diversity in the media in terms of women’s age, ethnicity, style, etc. we need to diversity within those that they feature. What we don’t want is diversity fatigue (can there be such a thing?) – if the same older bloggers are featured over and over again then people will grow tired of seeing them. We need change, but we need to see a constant stream of fresh new talent in order to back up our demands for change.
So I shall continue my quest to find new and exciting blogs to follow – let this list not be the last!
HOW MANY OF THESE BLOGS DO YOU KNOW ALREADY, AND HAVE YOU FOUND SOME INSPIRATIONAL NEW BLOGS TO FOLLOW? COMMENT BELOW!
Trina is obviously a lover of pattern (and pattern mixing) like myself. Her style is very eclectic but wonderfully creative – just check out those gorgeous red sock boots. She’s only been blogging since last year but her stunning photography and innate sense of style means she looks like an absolute pro… Trina is definitely on my list of “ones to watch”.

Oh how I love Sharon – she’s an absolute breath of fresh air because she is loving her blogging journey (and thankfully none of the negative side of social media and blogging has worn her down yet, unlike the rest of us…)! I’d love everyone reading this to get behind her and encourage her to keep going – she’s just started to brave doing street style photos to show off her slightly-out-there but super stylish looks. I don’t want her to change one iota of what she’s doing because I find her absolutely inspirational.

Sara’s looks are very chic and very easy to wear. Her style is something on the classic side but with some fabulous textures, colours (I how I love those pink flares) and a nod to lots of new trends. I’d love to see her face more in her pictures, there’s no need for her to be so camera shy…!

Eddie may be Swedish but you won’t find any minimalist Scandi-style outfits on her Instagram feed. She isn’t at all afraid of colour or pattern and puts together looks that are more than a little playful… you’ll find loads of funky outfit inspiration here. Those navy stripes with white pointed shoes? Just to die for.

I’ve met the lovely Sharron IRL and she’s wonderful – apart from her fresh, clean style the photography on her blog is incredible, it’s no surprise that both she and her partner are professional photographers (every blogger’s dream, no?). Everything she wears suit her petite frame beautifully, with lots of clean lines, warm colours and interesting prints.

With a style that’s probably most like my own, I love Malgorzata’s love of colour and easy-fit outfits. Like me she’s a fan of 70s style with a flared trouser or midi skirt here and there, and she’s not afraid to add casual elements like some worn-in classic Converse. I’m so glad that I’ve just discovered her as I’m going to have a ton of outfit inspiration to pin.

You’ll probably love Erin’s backdrops as much as her style – her locations are jaw-droppingly beautiful. With a very elegant style you’ll find lots of inspiration for office workwear (she makes a pinstripe suit look so feminine) and I love her quirky touches like the white boots over jeans and cropped layered tops. She’s truly got style pouring out of her (that’s probably why she’s also a professional stylist…!)

Last but not least, Spanish beauty Estefanía. With a love of designer accessories and a wardrobe that consists almost entirely of simple dresses, her style is feminine, ladylike and very chic. I think if I lived in sunny Spain I too would simply grab a dress, add some heels and don a pair of crazy gorgeous sunglasses every day… How much simpler can stylish dressing get?
