As always I’ve loved compiling this collection of things I’m loving/really into/just discovered (and fell in love with) over the past few weeks. Let’s just say I have “watching Australian soaps” guilt, the intention of roasting All The Winter Vegetables and a pointless need to make a pink witch’s hat.
Barbie has obviously had a delayed reaction on me as I’ve been all over everything pink this month for some reason.
A solo stay in North Devon has made me look up other places in the country to go and explore, and now I want to go everywhere.
And I’m completely obsessed with having soothing animations and accompanying music permanently playing in the background.

It’s the last hurrah before Autumn Proper (we even had a mini heatwave in the first week of September so that was freaky) and although I’m not a pumpkin spice latte at Halloween kinda girl, ughhh (I want to be still sitting on my deck in the sun with a G&T in hand at gone 9pm, thank you very much) I guess I’ll have to accept that the season is changing.
Doesn’t mean I have to love it though… Summer forever, I say 😉

1. My new blog header. I’ve been wanting a refresh for a while and I finally found time to design something new and switch it up. I am LOVING it. Genuinely.
2. The return of Neighbours (I’m calling it Neighbours, The Reboot). I can’t actually believe I’m into it again, it’s more than 30 years since I last watched it. But when Guy Pearce is somehow back in it (HOW did they manage that?) and Mischa Barton appears too, you have to watch it. Or is it just me…?!
3. The absolute best ladies mid-rise pants in the world ever – they’re comfortable, they don’t ride up your bum, they look cute (very classic Y-Fronty), they’re made of breathable cotton and there are lots of colour choices. Here’s the high-waist version if you prefer more coverage for your belly.
4. Hours-long YouTube videos of slow-moving, animated (AI) art with soothing sounds or retro synth music, like this abstract coloured liquids video, this rabbit hole infinite zoom animation or this back to the 80’s synthwave electro music, all designed as screensavers for digital TVs. So good for background noise and cool visuals.
5. Love at First Sight on Netflix, my rom-com recommendation of the month (don’t be put off by the so-so title). Perfect casting and amazing chemistry between the two leads, excellent meet-cute scenario, a touch of poignancy plus a [SPOILER ALERT] happy ending. For me, it was love at first watch.
6. These excellent blog posts about things to do in this country: 26 best places in Britain to visit, 10 gorgeous countryside getaways in England and 75+ best things to do in London. After having spent another wonderful week in North Devon I thought I should share more about the UK and what a great country it is to visit (whether you live here or not).
7. This pink house for sale in Nottinghamshire, which is a sight to behold. What I love about it is the late owner’s dedication to her favourite colour (rather than the actual house itself) because when I say all pink, I mean AAAAAAALL PINK…
8. Not just a pink house but also Keiko Lynn’s head-to-toe pink witch outfit. It’s very Barbiecore. Every year I love to see what Halloween outfit she’s come up with, and this doesn’t disappoint. She’s even included a free download for the witch hat pattern – adult’s size AND kid’s size.
9. This Dawn O’Porter for Joanie kaftan maxi dress – in a way I wish it was actually a one-off vintage piece so I could be the only one to wear it.
10. This recipe for roasted broccoli and cauliflower. The cooler weather is making me think of getting back to roasting more stuff. Although I often roast veg I tend not to include broccoli or cauli – maybe this recipe should be called roasted BROCCAULI ba-dum-tss – that’s going to change, especially as this includes parmesan, garlic and breadcrumbs. Yum.
