So it’s back after a five-month break, but that just means I’ve been able to collect a lot of really great links for you to read/watch/bookmark… so not just June per se, but this is really the best of the blogosphere from February, March, April, May AND June! This month I’ll just be quiet, let the links do the talking and leave you to get on with reading and watching ; -)
[Reading time: 2½ mins – excluding time reading links]
Do have a read of these great links – you never know who or what you might discover that makes your day/week/month!

My lovely blogger friend Susan Earlam has written a book – Earthly Bodies – and I have to say I think it sounds amazing (“a dystopian eco-horror story that spans the ages”). Now on my must-read reading list.
Celeste Barber’s Instagram posts never, EVER fail to make me laugh. Her best three? Getting in the taxi. Dancing by the pool with the Hot Husband. And modelling, supermodel Shalom Harlow-style.
She deserves another one. Celeste did her sister’s makeup for her first-ever makeup tutorial and it’s as funny as you’d expect anything she does to be.
Fatima describes herself as a running wanker and I’m so here for it.
Corrine has given us 7 free things to do when you’re bored online (though when am I ever 😉 ) – I love ’28 Days Later’ where you get to explore abandoned buildings.
In theory an obituary shouldn’t be funny at all, but someone wrote a touchingly witty and, I’m sure, a very fitting one for 79-year-old Canadian Margaret Marilyn DeAdder: “Professional clipper of coupons, baker of cookies, terror behind the wheel, champion of the underdog, ruthless card player, and self-described Queen Bitch”.
If you’re wondering whether YOUR body is beach-ready, Msendoo “presents to you, her summer body” in the most fabulous, curvalicious way.
Ashley went out for her first post-lockdown outing and had a nightmare about deciding what to wear (relate?).
A case for the anti-to-do list: 5 daily self-care habits for a healthier, happier you.
You absolutely want to see a long line of cute-as flying squirrels jumping into someone’s hand one after the other, don’t you?
Cyn’s vacay outfits are truly stunning – I much prefer them to the actual online shopping picks she’s included…!
Sarah’s given us 5 ways to deal when your day gets off course – I especially liked ‘creating a “pattern interrupt”‘ and ‘physically move to work in a new space’.
Joe Wicks, AKA The Body Coach, explains why he exercises (his motivation isn’t to be lean, it’s for his mental health). Superb advice.
“Would you tell your BFF that her ass is fat, her boobs are sagging and she has crow’s feet as deep as the Grand Canyon?” Debbie asks why is it then okay for you to say things like that to yourself in her blog post about body image and the midlife woman: an unspoken problem.
This Tesco supermarket worker makes the best announcements over the tannoy [public address system]. Reminds me of my days working in retail in the 90s – I bloody LOVED making the store closing announcements.
Lucy, like me, dislikes the term “anti-ageing” and has written her Ageism part 1, You’re not the boss of me: “Let’s start focusing on looking and feeling GOOD, rather than looking YOUNG”. Hear, hear.
I’ll admit I was sceptical about learning anything new in terms of makeup for us older ladies, but learned many new things I did. Trinny talked to makeup artist Rae Morris about blush and lip makeup for mature skin – SO many good tips.
Victoria ponders why burnout is not a marker of success.
And in case you missed it first time around: Finally admitting I’m struggling with my mental health by Yours Truly. Followed two months later – more happily – by Mental health update: I’m actually doing okay (honestly).
Stay safe XOXO
