This is what I wore to go up to London a couple of days ago for the first part of a new hair campaign I’m working on. I was told to wear something that “summed up my style” – I think it’s safe to say that I managed it: All The Warm Colours, a touch of 70s styling and clashing prints? I think so!
(BEFORE I CONTINUE, IF YOU WANT THIS EXACT M&S AW15 COAT IN SIZE 10 ACT NOW – a worn-once one ends on eBay at 15:28 UK time on Wednesday, no bids yet!)
[Reading time: 3 mins]
This is the first outing of the pink corduroy jumpsuit on the blog since it first appeared back in October last year. It hasn’t had many outings at all this year – I’ve worn it maybe 2-3 times – which is a shame as it’s SO darn fabulous. (It’s not suitable for walking the dog, and that’s about the only ‘place’ I go these days.)
I loved it with the new-to-me red and white sweater I charity shopped the other weekend whilst out searching for ornaments and bric-a-brac to upcycle for my Not Lamb Home Etsy shop, which brings me onto the pairing of pink and red together.
So far, so good: who doesn’t love a bit of pink and red? Me, it seems – but only when there’s an opportunity to add orange into the mix as well. The orange giraffe print coat is an old favourite and ALWAYS gets so many compliments – did you see my note at the start of the post that said there’s one on eBay in size 10? It ends on Wednesday 16 December [TOMORROW AT TIME OF WRITING] at 15:38… don’t miss it if you love this coat as much as I do.
Yep, orange, pink and red. In my eyes (and where my style is concerned) it just works.
I had a few regrets about wearing a jumpsuit with a sweater ON TOP for a train journey to London, but my need to say “this is me!” far outweighed any train toilet woes. I’m up in London again tomorrow for part 2: we’re shooting yet another hair colourant campaign for my Olia Rose Gold colour. And this time the hair (which was dyed with the same Olia Rose Gold box dye I’ve been using all year, but this time by a stylist in London on Sunday, hence my first trip up there) is reeeeeeeeally pink, probably because they put SO MUCH of it on my hair! And I’m loving it.
OR should that be “Because I’m worth it…?” #SeeWhatIDidThere
Stay safe, XOXO
