(It’s a quick post from me today as I’ll be away this week* – I’m scheduling in advance).
I think I’ve all but given up on the summer dresses unfortunately =sob=. I’m thinking more and more about jeans and blazers, or layering my maxi shirt dresses over jeans. I’ve haven’t unpacked my autumn/winter clothes out of boxes following our house move (we still don’t have wardrobes yet, just a single rail!) so I have to get onto that pronto when I’m back this weekend.
Today’s outfit is showing off two new additions to my wardrobe: the wool fedora hat and the graphic print tote bag (which you may have seen on my Stories a couple of weeks ago). One neutral, one bright: both perfect for this time of year!
And before I continue, I have to warn you of some Riley-heavy pictures. There was NO WAY he’d get out the way for more than five seconds while we were shooting. We just had to go with it in the end – what a tinker…!
The plants on pink tote bag was kindly gifted to me by Lorelsberg, an indie brand run by the very lovely Lorena. She creates the most amazing graphic illustrations and sells them on bags, posters, t-shirts, etc. The designs are TOTALLY my style (in fact she also gifted me a poster which, once it’s framed and hung, I’ll feature in my coming-soon interiors posts) and the prices are so reasonable. They’d make perfect gifts for someone who loves bright colour and bold prints (you know, for the C-word time of year)… go check her designs out (here she is on Instagram)!
The wool fedora hat is from The White Company and I chose this one because I don’t have a fedora in grey – every girl who loves hats needs a multitude of fedora colours to chose from (it’s the law). The day we shot these it hid unwashed hair: one reason I DO love this time of year.
Everything else was previous season items. Jeans and a blazer has always been my go-to in cooler weather, so if you have the basics in your wardrobe (any colour of each) just style them up with bolder knits, scarves, shoes, etc. Oh, and don’t forget your hat and tote bags!
Do add your outfits to this week’s link up – and if you’ve added a link to here or my button to your post you may be featured next week!
*I’m away on my detox diet break this week as I mentioned in a previous post – I’m not sure how much phone access I’m allowed but I’m hoping come the evenings I’ll be able to upload Stories on my Instagram, so make sure you follow me to keep up!

Thank you for joining the #iwillwearwhatilike link up! This started as a campaign on Instagram in August 2015 where women over 30 wore everything on a journalist’s list of “inappropriate” items for 30+ women (including leopard print, short dresses and oversized sunglasses. Yes, really). It was so popular that I decided to carry it on weekly where women of all ages link up their fabulous style, never mind what anyone tells them not to wear!
The link up goes live every Monday at around 3pm UK time and will stay open for a week. Whilst the original article was of course aimed at the 30+, you can be ANY age to link up. The only criteria is that you’re wearing whatever you damn well like!
CLICK HERE to read the rules of linking up (and to grab the #iwillwearwhatilike button). Basically it’s just good manners to link back to here – to leave a comment is even nicer!
PLEASE NOTE: This is for linking up WHAT YOU’VE BEEN WEARING ONLY. Non-outfit links will be removed and you might be blocked if you turn out to be a repeat “offender”!
Please note that due to the new GDPR laws I’m unable to send an email reminder unless you subscribe to the mailing list of your own accord. CLICK HERE if you wish to be sent an email with a reminder to link up to the #iwillwearwhatilike link up as soon as it’s live!
No featured favourites this week as I’m away… they’ll be back next week.
To get yourself featured next week, make sure you’ve included a link back to Not Dressed As Lamb or my button in your post/sidebar!
Do share the love and visit as many links as you can (you never know what other lovely like-minded ladies you might meet) – the original Instagram campaign forged some wonderful new friendships so don’t miss out!
