My 2017 Fashion Blogger Bloopers and Outtakes

Happy New Year – it’s time for my annual fashion blogger bloopers and outtakes post which features the very worst (rather than the very best) pictures from the past 12 months…!

I always love compiling this post as it makes me laugh so much. It’s funny trying to remember what made me pull such crazy faces or stupid poses. And this year we got Riley, so doggy photobombs have been added to the mix (I wouldn’t have it any other way where that beaut of a canine is concerned).

[Today’s #iwillwearwhatilike link up has moved to tomorrow – Tuesday – as my bloopers post always goes out on New Year’s Day. It’ll be back to Mondays as normal next week.]

So rather than showing you my favourite outfits each year I like to show you my favourite looking-kinda-stupid-most-of-the-time photos. Fashion bloggers are not the stylish creatures some people think they are 100% of the time, so feel free to laugh at the pictures at my expense.

These posts are always photo-heavy (28 bloopers this year), but I hope they’re worth it. Don’t miss the animated GIF at the very end…!

WHICH WAS YOUR FAVOURITE OUTTAKE? TELL ME IN THE COMMENTS OR TWEET ME @NOTLAMB (AND HERE’S WISHING YOU A VERY HAPPY AND HEALTHY 2017)!

1. The one where I felt really bloated after Christmas

Oh, I remember feeling very, very full here – I think we were taking photos just after another huge meal at my parents’ house and it was still very soon after The Christmas Bloat. Original post >>

2. The one where I was being really cocky

I think this is my best “Yes, dear, whatever you say, dear” sarcastic face. Original post >>

3. The one where I didn’t get “I’m a little teapot” quite right

This shoot turned out to be a bit of a gem for outtakes: Another new pose gets tried out. And promptly rejected. Original post >>

4. The one where I started doing the Charleston

My mood can often be judged by the outtakes in a shoot. Obviously that day was a messing about day. Original post >>

5. The one where I looked like a possessed ragdoll

What on EARTH am I doing here?! That face… it’s equal part funny and equal part scary-evil. Original post >>

6. The one where I couldn’t stop laughing

Whatever had happened, I had a fit of giggles as a result. Original post >>

7. The ones where I did the Ministry of Silly Walks

Fans of Monty Python know all about this one. Original posts 1 >> and 2 >>

8. The one where Riley did his first photobomb

I think this the very first shoot we did since getting Riley in March – we had no idea that he’d much rather stand next to me (and be in every picture) than stand next to Keith while he was taking the photos. Original post >>

9. The one where I got fed up with the wind doing its thing

Like I said many times in 2016’s bloopers post, the wind is an a**hole. Original post >>

10. The one where I saw something scary in my peripheral

Haha I have NO idea what I’d seen, but it looks scary. Original post >>

11. The one where I had a completely oblivious photobomber

Do you not KNOW who I am, young man?! How dare you walk in front of a fashion blogger mid-photo shoot in a busy London park…! Original post >>

12. The one where there was something very unpleasant somewhere

The trouble with graffitied underpasses is that they attract all sorts of, er, unpleasantness and ‘interesting’ smells. Original post >>

13. The one where Riley decided to photobomb the photo “impolitely”

I thought I’d spare you the picture of him actually doing the deed: this is the photo Keith took just as he’d finished. That dog is so beautifully graceful – up to a point. Original post >>

14. The one where I told Keith he was wonky

Not that I like to tell Keith how to take pictures (I hope he’s not reading this, lol!), but he DID look a little bit not straight… Original post >>

15. The one where I tried to create as many double chins as I could

Let’s see how I did: I think I managed three double chins, so that’s a total of six. Well done me! Original post >>

16. The one where I looked like I needed to go

A typical outtake and common facial expression in my shoots: Combine that face with that pose (AND a clenched fist) and it looks like I need a wee. Original post >>

17. The one where I tried my best duck face

Methinks I just can’t get away with it, I think it’s obvious why. Original post >>

18. The one where I tested how slow the shutter speed was

When the light gets low and we have to slow the shutter speed right down to let in as much light as possible, we can use a tripod to counteract camera shake. However, it affects how much I can move so I thought it needed testing. I thought shaking my head was the best way. Hmm… Original post >>

19. The one where there was something really interesting off to my right

Who knows what it was?! Seeing as my eyes are so wide it must have been really, really big and/or really, really interesting. Original post >>

20. The one where I got fed up with the Cornish hilltop wind

Yep, that wind again – in Cornwall it’s especially a**holey. I just gave up with the hair in the end. Original post >>

21. The one where I pulled yet another deranged face

I don’t think it’s possible for me to get through a photo shoot without pulling this face at least once. Original post >>

22. The one where I just didn’t have a clue

Where has my hair gone? What happened to the summer? What’s with this extra chin on one side of my face? Who knows what I didn’t know… Original post >>

23. The one where I got a wedgie

It was a painful/uncomfortable one that just couldn’t be left any longer. Original post >>

24. The one where Riley HAD to be in the flat lay

Oh, that face!! I just can’t resist it. (I think he’s telling me it looks a bit s**t though…) Original post >>

25. The one where I forgot how to walk in heels

You’d think with the amount of posing in heels I’ve done over the years I’d be able to stand upright in them, wouldn’t you? Original post >>

26. The one where I had something in my eye

It’s a fact that women can’t do anything involving their eyes without pulling that face. Original post >>

27. The one where the label was itching me

At least I THINK it was the label… Original post >>

28. The one where I pulled as many silly poses as possible

You always need a good GIF in your bloopers and outtakes post: Silly poses do the trick every time. Original post >>

Pin for later!
