Like Nothing Else in the Shops: A Blue Patterned Jumpsuit #iwillwearwhatilike

If you know my style you’ll know I love me a print (or two or three), so this blue patterned jumpsuit kinda rocks my world, if I’m being honest.

I think I’ve found me a brand that sells prints of my dreams: if you’re after reasonably-priced, well-cut clothes that are nothing like anything on the high street right now, you might want to check out Italian brand Anonyme.

(This is not a sponsored post but Anonyme did kindly gift me the jumpsuit on a no-obligation basis.)

When I checked out the website I went a little gaga over the pieces with prints – they’re not your typical Topshop/Asos/M&S prints AT ALL. They’re a little bit exotic, a little bit graphic, a little bit retro. Hard to describe, in other words! You can definitely tell they’re a brand from the continent and not anything that would be designed in the UK.

The jumpsuit is unfortunately sold out, but there are several other pieces in the same print. I also chose the Valentina shirt – frustratingly it’s been too hot to wear it so far, but it totally looks like something a newsreader from the 1970s would wear and I’m soooo into that kind of look.

I mentioned that Anonyme’s pieces are reasonably priced: the jumpsuit was €125 and the shirt was under €80 – both were then reduced to half price so OH MY GOODNESS what a bargain for some really unique items. I can almost guarantee you won’t be turning up to a wedding or party in the same outfit as someone else with any of these pieces. It’s like buying vintage from Etsy or eBay but without the uncertainty or the problems with sizing.

I’ve worn this jumpsuit about three times already: twice with the cream Panama hat (such a summer staple!), and once with red shoes… this blue is the perfect backdrop for red, so the second time I wore my red backpack with it. I’m not one to wear cool colours very often (my wardrobe is predominantly pink, orange, red, yellow, etc. as opposed to blue and green), but when presented with a print like this, my colour preferences go out the window.

So I say again: NOT a sponsored post, and no affiliate links to Anonyme – I just hope you love this label as much as I do…!

Thank you for joining the #iwillwearwhatilike link up! This started as a campaign on Instagram in August 2015 where women over 30 wore everything on a journalist’s list of “inappropriate” items for 30+ women (including leopard print, short dresses and oversized sunglasses. Yes, really). It was so popular that I decided to carry it on weekly where women of all ages link up their fabulous style, never mind what anyone tells them not to wear!

The link up goes live every Monday at around 3pm UK time and will stay open for a week. Whilst the original article was of course aimed at the 30+, you can be ANY age to link up. The only criteria is that you’re wearing whatever you damn well like!
