12 Colourful, Inspiring and Stylish Outfits From One Year of #iwillwearwhatilike

The #iwillwearwhatilike link up started just over a year ago and after the massive success of the 17 gorgeous women who shared their bikinis, swimsuits and cover ups

in my swimwear special the other week, I thought it’d be nice to feature the 12 most colourful, inspiring and stylish outfits from one year of the link up!

(The link up is back for another week as always – last week I wrote about why I’m having a blogger break so there’ll be no other posts apart from the Monday link up for a short while.)

Without all of you linking up your amazing style and fabulous outfits each week there would be no link up, so I thought it was time I featured the best of the best…!

I USUALLY FEATURE FOUR OF FIVE FAVOURITES EACH WEEK, SO TRYING TO CHOOSE JUST ONE FROM EACH MONTH WAS ALMOST ASKING THE IMPOSSIBLE.

I decided to pick one favourite of all my featured favourites from each month – though this was an incredibly hard task. I usually feature four of five favourites each week, so trying to choose just one from each month was almost asking the impossible! Keep scrolling to see who I decided to go with in the end 🙂

This list could have been at least three times as long – I’m so sorry I couldn’t feature everyone, but I do hope I’ve whet your appetite for the notion that we can wear whatever we like, regarding of what anyone else – whether IRL or online – says. I love the fact that so many of you (all of you?) share my feelings about killing off age appropriateness once and for all!

P.S. I just wanted to say a massive THANK YOU for all the amazing comments, messages, emails, tweets and general words of love and support following last Wednesday’s post about my blogging break. I’m incredibly touched and overwhelmed at how many of you sent me encouragement or have had the same thing happen to you. Quick update: Things are much better (financially AND emotionally) already, though I still have a very serious fight on my hands. I’m hoping normal blogging service will presume from next week 🙂

Thank you for joining the #iwillwearwhatilike link up! This started as a campaign on Instagram in August 2015 where women over 30 wore everything on a journalist’s list of “inappropriate” items for 30+ women (including leopard print, short dresses and oversized sunglasses. Yes, really). It was so popular that I decided to carry it on weekly where women of all ages link up their fabulous style, never mind what anyone tells them not to wear!

The link up goes live every Monday at 3pm UK time and will stay open for a week. Whilst the original article was of course aimed at the 30+, you can be ANY age to link up. The only criteria is that you’re wearing whatever you damn well like!
