As a fashion blogger you tend to put yourself under a bit more pressure: After all, you are your brand so your image makes all the difference to being confident enough to tell people you blog about your personal style…!
That said, I’m fully aware that what I’m wearing really isn’t the most important thing. I have to go for comfort and practicality first, as when I’m travelling on tubes and trains and walking around I can’t be coping with heels or too-tight jeans. This outfit started with the pointed flats: They’re supremely comfortable but also smart and on-trend (block heels and two-tone caps). They’re one of the few pairs of flats that I’m happy wearing with a skirt – I usually insist on heels but not if I’m going to an all-day event.
Once I’d decided to go with a skirt (I wear them so rarely I was determined to get my legs out for a change) the Adidas t-shirt followed to tone down the super-girly skirt and ladylike flats. Regular readers may know I’m fond of a bit of masculine/feminine or casual/smart contrast in my outfits – it’s a good tip for never feeling over or underdressed… you’ve covered every eventuality.
If you’re going to a blogger event and wondering what to wear, here are two really good tips for you that have worked every time for me:
I did both of these things and had a lot of bloggers approach me for exactly those reasons on Saturday. It’s lovely to be spotted and again you’ll make a ton of new friends (always have business cards at the ready to swap).

P.S. You might like how I styled the same Adidas t-shirt with trousers last autumn!
