Luckily we had some milder weather at the weekend so I didn’t have to wait too long (impatient, much?) A walk along the river on the way to the locals shops was the perfect opportunity to keep it casual but not too sloppy: a yellow sweatshirt, jeans and boots was all it really needed.
I still had my hair in plaits thanks to the Heidi hairdo I was sporting the day before (it soooo should be called the “Heidi Do”) and although I’m very anti age-appropriate anything, there is something very schoolgirly about two plaits down each side of your head for anyone who isn’t actually at primary school any more. For me, a grown up hat like a taupe fedora takes it out of schoolgirl territory and at the same time gets me out of the chore of washing my hair just to go to the supermarket…!
I use dry shampoo a lot as well as hats for bad hair days – on bad hair days are you a hat fan or a dry shampoo fan… or do you wash your hair religiously every day?! I’d love to know!
