Some days I find myself wanting to slob out in a smart way for work, if such a thing is possible – so layering a massive patterned boyfriend shirt and my trusty blue palazzo pants seemed like the way to go this week. I think it’s perfectly okay not to bow to the pressure of having to wear figure-flattering clothes every day; who says we can only do that on days off at home in our sweats? I guess my waist is still there, with a bit of décolletage too – that’s good enough, isn’t it?!
Adorning my aforementioned décolletage is the prettiest birdcage necklace that was a gift from my sister – it was made by local jewellery designer Hydra Jewellery who make necklaces, rings and bracelets using delicate nature-inspired images behind drops of glass.
Just to let you all know I have another special week of posts coming up – it was Vintage Week last week, and next week will be Wedding Week on the blog (ideas for dressing as a guest, not a bride)! It kicks off on Sunday with a massive giveaway: £250 to spend at Damsel in a Dress which would be PERFECT for a wedding outfit. Don’t miss it, my lovelies…!
