And what a year it’s been {makes wincing face like she’s eating a lemon}…
As much as I intended to publish a final #IWillWearWhatILike post this week as well as this one, time just wasn’t on my side. I honestly feel like this has been the busiest Christmas build up/festive period EVER – I don’t know HOW, seeing as, you know, 2020 and all that?
[Reading time: < 2 mins]
So I’m not going to dwell on the year that we’ve had (I’ll save that for my Year in Review Part 3 post at the beginning of next month), instead I just want to wish you all a VERY Merry Christmas. Whatever you’re doing and whoever you’re with, I hope it’s as fun as it can be. Maybe you’ll enjoy the new-style Christmas you’ve been forced to have. Maybe you’ll find a whole new set of traditions to continue on. I do hope that you and your loved are as safe and well as they can be, that’s the absolute most important thing.
We can only look at the positives and know that better things are on the horizon.
I’m actually hosting Christmas lunch for the first time in my life ever tomorrow: I have always, always been at my parents’ for Christmas, but this year (as my mum and dad are 86 and 91 respectively and not in the greatest of health) we’re having them come to us for turkey and all the trimmings. I picked up our M&S Foodhall order for four yesterday – everything’s posh and pre-prepared so no chopping veg or peeling potatoes for us tonight, hurrah! – and we’re looking forward to having a quiet celebration with just the four of us… or rather five, including Suki.
I just want to thank you for your support this year: whether you’ve been reading for nine weeks or nine years (10 year blogiversary next year for me), I really appreciate the fact that you don’t just glance and scroll through Instagram but you come here for the meaty stuff instead – or as well.
We ALL know that blogs are where it’s at…!
I hope that by this time next year we’ll be looking back on the NON-sh*tshow that was 2021 and be thankful that 2020 finally ended and we all had some more positive, more hopeful months ahead of us.
DON’T FORGET that 1st January means… you guessed it, BLOOPERS AND OUTTAKES!! That’ll be my next post after this one, I’m taking the Christmas break and try to recharge my batteries. Gawd knows I need it, I’m sure you do too.
So, sayōnara 2020! What can I say, it wasn’t exactly fun while it lasted, was it…?! 😉
Stay safe, till next year XOXO
