I’d been wanting to get a [health workers] charity t-shirt for a little while, not just for the obvious charity donation aspect but to have something to remember from these times (by that I mean something positive to remember).
So when I saw that Asos were selling charity t-shirts produced in collaboration with Hamnett and Choose Love, I got myself one as soon as they were back in stock (the first batch sold out in a flash). I went with the “Choose Our Carers” t-shirt… I will admit was swayed by my love for anything peach-coloured.
100% of the net profits from its sale go towards The Care Workers Charity which has set up a coronavirus care workers emergency fund, providing emergency financial aid to care workers who are self-isolating. There are so many charities that need our help right now and it’s impossible to support them all, but every little helps.

Dog walks have been the main locations for taking a few quick photos these days – it’s either that or our driveway – but luckily we’ve had some incredible weather lately. Not always warm, but a TON of sunshine. We’ve also discovered some amazing new walks on our doorstep because of the lockdown (amazing how it makes you want to get out MORE, isn’t it…) AND due to having a very inquisitive, adventurous greyhound who seems to seek out these new places. Suki-Dora, as we now call her.
On this gorgeous evening with that magnificent golden glow from the setting sun I managed to get Suki to stand by me for about 8 seconds before she went off. She’s much too much of a wriggler to participate in photo shoots, so to get anything of her is a miracle.
As this was a basic dog-walking outfit (are there any other types of outfits these days other than dog-walking outfits, supermarket-shopping outfits or Zoom meeting outfits?!), I threw on some old wide-leg pants and my chunky white trainers. I’m also debuting my pearl phone pouch which I’ve had my eye on FOREVER (I love it!) – I treated myself when getting the t-shirt.
You may also notice the other ‘accessory’ I’m wearing on my right arm: the elbow support sleeve. I now know I have tennis elbow (or, more strictly, golfer’s elbow) after a video call with the doctor last week. Thank you to all of you who have been asking me on social about how my arm is… truth is it’s not really feeling any less painful which is incredibly annoying. But I’m continuing with the special exercises, ice packs, painkillers, etc. that I’ve been told to do and we’ll see what’s next after a follow-up call on Monday.
Anyone else bought a charity t-shirt? Or any advice for me with the tennis/golfer’s elbow – have you had any experience of this injury? Comment below…
Stay home, stay safe XOXO
