13 Unmissable Reads, The Best of the Blogosphere (August 2019)

In my Best of the Blogosphere this month I have the Amazon nightgown, ethical beauty brands, ‘unfluencers’ and more!

(In case you’ve not seen these posts before my Unmissable Reads are a monthly round-up of things I’ve seen, watched and liked in the blogosphere that I’m sure you’ll love too.)

So it’s bye-bye Summer, hello September and Autumn… though could we possibly have an Indian summer? Last year we had glorious weather right through to October so here’s hoping!

I’ve just snuck in the Best of the Blogosphere before it feels like the month has really got started, and already bloggers are turning their attention towards autumn. But I’ve found some fantastic reads for you plus a few fashion fixes for those of you who like a splash of the sartorial with your monthly BOTB reads here at Not Dressed As Lamb.

Do have a read of these great links – you never know who or what you might discover that makes your day/week/month!

What links did you like – and have you found any fabulous new blogs to follow? Comment below…!

Positivity, being punctual, helping others: 8 things that help your career (but take zero talent) by Leah.

This couple brought their dog to their pre-wedding photo shoot, and the result was HILARIOUS.

The determination of this incredible young man is absolutely awe-inspiring.

Samantha asked if fashion blogging is vain and shallow because a woman straight-up emailed her and literally call her a narcissist. Unbelievable.

As the owner of a larger bust I was very interested to read Alison’s review of the Amazon “nightgown” that’s gone viral – and whether it fits a large bust or a large size.

If you haven’t yet seen the fabulous ‘Mr Sandman cat’ that’s also gone viral, here it is. (Apologies in advance for the earworm…)

Today being 1st September I’m lamenting the end of summer, but then Annette’s stunning mustard coat has me all googly-eyed for autumn clothes.

Simone Biles doing her world-first double triple somersault in super slow motion is both a joy to behold and a challenge to the laws of physics.

I’m fascinated by all of Ashley’s homewares collections, from vintage Vogues to vanity cases.

Hayley’s listed 15 beauty brands that are making an effort to reduce plastic.

Michelle explains all about clothes swapping and renting clothes in her exemplary bid to make us all ditch fast fashion and wear more, buy less.

I need to find a reason to justify the purchase of a pink corduroy jumpsuit*.

We all know about influencers, but what about “unfluencers”? The influencers that put you OFF wanting to buy a product/visit somewhere/try something…
