Some of My Favourite Fun and Fabulous Links – June 2015

How to grow older, new over 40 fashion bloggers, healthy shaming, blogging for money… As today is the fourth Sunday in the month that means it’s time for my Favourite Fun and Fabulous Links! Here’s some great weekend reading for you. Enjoy, and Happy Sunday 🙂

Someone agrees with me: “I will say that “age appropriate” dressing makes me crazy”.

14 movies all fashion-lovers must see. I’m ashamed to say there are a lot I haven’t seen (but must).

I’ve just discovered the wonderful blog Bolder – How to Grow Older. Full of inspirational men and women over 70 with a serious lust for life.

Lauren and Felicity effortlessly style two of my favourite things for the UK summer: Dungarees and sleeveless jackets. I have the former but not the latter… that needs to change.

Two of my fellow Brits have just started fashion blogs: 50-something Anna of Anna’s Island Style shares my love of pattern and colour and 40-something Samantha of Fake Fabulous 40 has a gorgeous red crop (for now) and is as much of a shoeaholic as I am. Do please visit and give them a little love.

This really resonated with me: Healthy shaming – criticising those who eat healthily and workout – exists (unfortunately) and I totally get where Amy is coming from.

The most perfect tropical print shirt dress worn beautifully by Rachel.

Becky talks about why there are no wrong reasons to blog. Because there aren’t any.

Christine’s summery striped co-ords and novelty clutch are breathtaking.

It may be aimed at job seekers, but this is a terrific article on the importance of personal branding and it’s perfect for bloggers.

I can’t stress enough just how incredible Amber’s post about blogging for money is. It’s truthful. It’s hard-hitting. Most of all, it’s full of great analogies and a hilarious read.

The best Facebook page I’ve seen in ages: Knickers Models Own. In Caroline’s own words: “Wearing charity clothes 24/7 throughout 2015, raising funds for Cancer Research UK, in memory of my Mum. My knickers are always my own.”

Which of these were your favourites?
