Smart Menswear | Wool Coat With Skinny Jeans & Ankle Boots – La Redoute Brand Ambassador Post

Now for something completely different: my second ever menswear post, featuring the husband! Many of you know that since Keith first appeared on my blog in May he has started his own style blog, Silver Londoner – if you haven’t checked it out yet then please, please do so (I know I’m biased but it’s pretty great). There don’t seem to be many style blogs for 40+ men featuring easy-to-wear outfits so we think he’s filling a niche right from the word go. It’d be great if you left a comment to say hi, he’d love to hear from you.

I’m featuring him for this month’s La Redoute brand ambassador post because I thought I’d talk about their excellent menswear range – Keith’s bought several things from them in the past and has always been really impressed with the quality and choice. This month I treated him instead of myself with these achingly cool . They’re just about my favourite style of boots for men at the moment, and I can report back from Silver Londoner that they were incredibly comfy from the second he tried them on. We both loved the slightly worn look to them, and they look so, so great with skinny (but not super-skinny) jeans.

He decided to go semi-smart that day – he’s in his element in the autumn with his peacoats and blazers. This grey wool coat (a few years old but still ultra stylish) looked great with the blue shirt and red woollen tie. I have to admit I think this is one of my favourite looks on him… great for any age, not just 40-somethings!
