How L.A.M.B. Shoes Would Have Improved My Outfits (or, How to Dress Like a Star)

Now I don’t really want to admit that I sometimes think my outfits could be improved, but it’s often true when it comes down to the shoes that I’ve chosen. Although I have a ton of flats and often wear them in outfit posts because they were practical at the time, I occasionally wish I could have magic feet that could withstand fierce heels all day, no matter where I’m going or what I’m doing. (What can I say, I’m a heels girl at heart.)

The answer? Do what the stars do: get cabs everywhere and just rock those 6″ babies anyway. I think taking a taxi (or even better – having a driver) is the secret to dressing like a star…!

Joking aside, if I could I’d go back and revisit some of my favourite outfits where flats really were the order of the day and change the lack of heels to something more fabulous, fierce and fearless. But that’s what a blog’s for, right? If I want to change my shoes, then I can change my shoes, and no one’s gonna stop me. But what shoes do I go for?

It seems only fitting that I pick from L.A.M.B. – the brand that’s the brainchild of a 40-something star (Gwen Stefani) and to top it off we share a name (Gwen and I have sooo much in common). So using the Gwen Stefani L.A.M.B shoes collection I’ve chosen four outfits to “improve”, and four pairs of fierce shoes to pair them up with…

Will you match the same shoes to the same outfits as I have? Choose first and then see my answers at the end of the post to see if we agree 🙂

Outfit 1: Vintage DVF striped jumpsuit (it was hot, we were shopping, I needed flats)
Outfit 2: Statement Zara sweater with teal skinny jeans (comfy boots were needed for a country walk)
Outfit 3: Knotted cardigan with pleated midi skirt (I was simply amping up the preppy look with my Sperry Top-Siders)
Outfit 4: Retro style fit n’ flare dress and Panama hat (a day of sightseeing so I went for the prettiest flats I had)

Shoes A: L.A.M.B. Thacker Metal Studded Wedge (wedges, straps, studs and buckles make these boots sooo fierce)

Shoes B: L.A.M.B. Fernley Pointed Toe Ankle Strap Heel (so elegant and I love the silver studs)
Shoes C: L.A.M.B. Deedra Peep Toe Bootie (these have a great 80s feel to them)
Shoes D: L.A.M.B. Debby Pointed Toe Stiletto (love that asymmetric shape and the three-tone)

So – which were your favourite L.A.M.B. heels – and which did you match with my outfits? Do share in the comments! (See below for my ‘answers’)
