Introducing StyleUp | Personalised Outfit Suggestions For Your Local Weather

I wanted to let you know, my little lammies, about a great new style inspiration website with a difference – if you’re thinking Oh no that just means more work… then fear not – it couldn’t be easier and more appropriate for a busy blogger (there’s practically no effort involved at all)!

StyleUp (www.thestyleup.com) brings you “daily, weather-appropriate advice tailored to suit your life and style – your shortcut to chic”. It’s a bit like a Pinterest board that thinks for you, giving you a feed of suggestions based on what you’ve already told them you’ve liked, and on what you continue to like in your feed. You don’t actually upload outfits yourself – StyleUp gets bloggers’ permission to continually pick outfits from their posts to put into subscribers’ feeds. Hate skinny jeans? More preppy than posh? You let your ratings do the talking!

(Ooh look there’s me below)

The more outfits you Like, the more of an idea StyleUp will get of your style and preferences, so your feed continues to give personalised suggestions – their recommendation engine learns your personal style through your ratings. You can look at all the outfits you’ve rated as your favourites via your Style Archive:

And not only all that, but you can receive a daily email with your local weather and an outfit to match – for example, I loved this houndstooth coat StyleUp suggested below, and it’s made me think I should get my white skinnies out of summer storage pronto – I’m missing out on the number of outfits I’ve seen featuring white denim! Plus the weather report was spot on – I absolutely love this part of the service:

I haven’t tried this feature yet, but you can also plan StyleUps in advance for an important meeting or event by submitting a Special Event request. They suggest three chic items to help you with some outfit inspiration for that particular occasion.

So go have a look at StyleUp and see what you think – as I said there’s so little work involved so it’s a bit of a no-brainer! I’ve loved most of the outfits in my feed and the email suggestions have been great pretty much every time.

Let me know what you make of it, I hope you like it 🙂
