Rainy Day Outfit | Seasalt Floral Raincoat

I’ve been pinning a lot of rainy day outfits on Pinterest lately.

Looking stylish as well as being practically dressed for rain isn’t easy, but like having a fabulous winter coat, a statement raincoat is really all you need to look like you’ve made an effort when it’s pouring down.

This floral beauty is from Seasalt, a British (Cornish) company specialising in stylish wet weather wear. I visited their shop in Padstow last year and tried on one of their raincoats – I’m sorry to say it didn’t come home with me and afterwards I regretted it a little bit. So when Seasalt contacted me to ask if I wanted to review a coat from their RAIN® range of waterproof, windproof and breathable coats, I was so pleased to get a second chance and chose the mid-thigh length Seaside Mac in their own unique woodcut flower print. They sell plain coloured coats as well as patterned ones in various lengths so there were lots to choose from.

Talk about snug! It feels like a proper raincoat that’s going to keep you warm as well as dry. Although it’s not super cold in the UK (yet), it has been raining a lot – the irony of this photoshoot is that it had been raining all day so my coat was perfect for the wet, but when the time came to take the photos the sun came out (when does that ever happen?). The best thing about this coat – apart from the super cute pattern and it being waterproof and windproof and snug – is that the hood is detachable. Having a hood is a bonus; having a detachable hood is even better. So top marks to Seasalt, they really know what they’re doing when it comes to wet weather wear.

Have you been buying or eyeing up any stylish wet weather wear this season? Or are you lucky enough to live somewhere that gets very little rain (oh how I envy you…)?

Seasalt kindly gifted me this raincoat under no obligation. All opinions are my own, however, and 100% honest.
