Capsule Wardrobe Pieces – 18 Stylish Wellies to Shop

As it’s now April (and that means April showers) I thought I’d bring you the best, most stylish welly boots I can find!

One morning last week I was out walking Riley in the pouring rain (what joy!), and although it wasn’t all that cold I was thankful for my Seasalt raincoat keeping me super dry. I then thought about how I should be wearing wellies instead of my robust walking boots that aren’t really built for the rain. That got me thinking about stylish rainwear in general – raincoats, umbrellas and Wellington boots are a must for Brits of course, but there are plenty of other places that have weather that’s just as changeable… the heaviest rain I’ve ever encountered in my life was when we visited the Statue of Liberty in New York where the rain was absolutely TORRENTIAL.

So I’ll also cover raincoats and umbrellas in the coming month, but for now I’ll start with wellies because I saw this pair online today and couldn’t believe just how stylish and non-wellyish they were… Plus they’ll keep my feet dry whilst out walking the dog. How good is that?!

I’ve avoided completely plain black wellies – I’ve looked for interesting styles and great colours, something a bit different to make your dog walk or commute to work in the rain far more stylish. There’s a mixture of long boots and short/ankle boots, and some that don’t look like wellies at all.
