Love Art & Illustrations Printed on Stuff? You’ll Love This Website

“Uncommon designs by independent artists everywhere” is how Redbubble describe their site. In other words,

if you, like me, love art and illustration and would love it printed onto stuff, then this website will be an absolute godsend/revelation/nirvana for you – as it was for me when I stumbled across it in my web surfing earlier this week.

In fact I was so excited at the prospect of looking through thousands (in fact, probably tens of thousands) of different designs – that I could buy in everything from postcard to a chiffon top to a laptop skin – that I whiled away a good two and a half hours just going through everything and seeing all the designs they had.

Don’t say I didn’t warn you…!

Basically, Redbubble is the perfect website to get something for someone that you know just a little – or even a lot. For example, I’m utterly obsessed with giraffes. If you type in “giraffe” to the search box you get no less than 10,929 results of different products with different designs on them. And the designs/illustrations couldn’t be more varied: You’ve got modern, pop art, cartoon, fantasy, typography, graphic, abstract, romantic, photographic… Everything.

You could get someone a sticker for £1.78, a cushion for £14 or a canvas print for £42 (all in different sizes). Or a kid’s t-shirt, or an adult hoodie. Or a duvet cover, or a travel mug. Or a tote bag, or a greetings card. (You can see how I spent hours on it, can’t you.)

This isn’t a sponsored post and Redbubble haven’t contacted me at all to promote them – I just found their website by chance and thought it was too good not to share with you. They ship internationally and do charge delivery, but as I’m pretty sure that once you’ve chosen a design and then decided what to have it printed on it’s made especially for you, making it an (almost) bespoke item. If there are over 10,000 products with giraffes on, you can imagine how the different products available are somewhat endless…!

As a freelancer (and “artistic person” in terms of art and photography) I’m all for championing independent artists. It’s all too easy for their work to be copied and distributed these days with the rise of the internet, so I’m happy to pay delivery charges for using their designs this way – I’m effectively getting something that’s almost certainly unique.

And if you know someone that’s an illustrator or graphic designer, they can register to get their designs sold on Redbubble – so please share this post with them!

So all that’s left to say is… LET’S GET THIS [LINK UP] PARTY STARTED!!
