Some of My Favourite Fun and Fabulous Links – October 2015

I’m sharing some really great posts about embracing our age, make-up throughout history and the Advanced Style ladies for October – and lots more.

And you may have noticed that the favourite fun and fabulous links post has moved! As I’ve had a bit of a reshuffle of the days I post, I’ve decided to move this post to the fourth Wednesday of the month. And yes, I know today isn’t the fourth Wednesday… I’m catching up on October today and normal service (with the new slot) will resume from 25th November.

Enjoy – and Happy Humpday!

How to get your sh*t together in 60 seconds. Amusing AND helpful.

Your faith in men will be restored beyond anything you could possibly imagine in this story of a man who was upset that his wife felt the need to be heavily Photoshopped in a boudoir photoshoot.

Michelle has done a brilliant survey asking bloggers what they charge for sponsored posts. The results are quite shocking – and vary enormously.

An absolutely stunning illustration of Poppy made with a blend of digital art and hand-drawn Indian ink by Caroline Tomlinson (she takes commissions! #christmasideas).

Cutting a round birthday cake “on scientific principles” is the best thing I’ve seen in ages – cutting off wedges like a pie chart now looks really illogical.

Ladies, isn’t it time we embraced our age? Kate ponders this and looks a million dollars at the same time.

Amber proving that all-grey looks fabulous on a redhead and that Scotland can have freakishly beautiful weather in the autumn.

What happened when Sacramento, one of my favourite 50+ bloggers, met some of the amazing Advanced Style ladies in New York.

I’m obsessed with long coats and blazers, and this longline checked blanket coat from Marks & Spencer is no exception (and currently has 20% off)!

And if you haven’t seen pro make-up artist Lisa Eldridge’s video of the best and worst moments in make up history, watch it now.

Which of these were your favourites?
