Although I was dressed more as if I were watching the cricket (as a friend mentioned!), all white and a Panama hat seemed just right for a boiling hot day at a local balloon festival. The weather in the UK is just ridiculous at the moment – whoever heard of more than two days of hot, unbroken sunshine in a row? It’s been nearly two weeks now with no signs of stopping.
But I am not complaining – I get to wear all my summer skirts and dresses that have been languishing unworn in my summer wardrobe year after year. So all white with a couple of pops of red and a Panama hat? A perfect choice in my (blue mirrored aviator) eyes. And if you ever have an opportunity to go to a balloon festival – DO IT. It is one of the most awe-inspiring, beautiful sights I’ve ever seen.
Have you been to a hot air balloon festival before? Even better – have you been UP in one? I guess that’s the next stage for me…!
