Heathcliff – It’s Me, Oh Cathy

There was only one thing that sprang to mind when viewing these pictures: Wind + rolling countryside + long billowing skirt = Wuthering Heights, what else…?

I love flowy romantic looks and I’ve been wanting to wear this (very dressy) skirt in the autumn with a sweater and brogues for ages now, and it’s finally chilly enough to do so. I bought the sweater (Tesco again, hooray for supermarket clothes!) a couple of sizes too big because my size was quite short and fitted but I wanted to pull it in with a belt – I don’t think a slim fit would have had quite the same effect. The desire to pile on everything in nude and neutral shades was overwhelming; this was quite hurriedly put together but I think Emily Brontë would have been proud 😉

Sweater: F+F
Skirt: New Look
Belt: Asos
Brogues: New Look (changed the laces with ones bought off eBay)
Leopard scarf: Asos
Necklace: Coast
Nude cuff: Asos
Ring: Topshop (currently only available instore – this matches the brooch I wore here)
Nails: Models Own Concrete Mixer
