Love Art & Illustrations Printed on Stuff? You’ll Love This Website

Love Art & Illustrations Printed on Stuff? You'll Love RedBubble.com

“Uncommon designs by independent artists everywhere” is how Redbubble describe their site. In other words,

if you, like me, love art and illustration and would love it printed onto stuff, then this website will be an absolute godsend/revelation/nirvana for you – as it was for me when I stumbled across it in my web surfing earlier this week.

In fact I was so excited at the prospect of looking through thousands (in fact, probably tens of thousands) of different designs – that I could buy in everything from postcard to a chiffon top to a laptop skin – that I whiled away a good two and a half hours just going through everything and seeing all the designs they had.

Don’t say I didn’t warn you…!

Basically, Redbubble is the perfect website to get something for someone that you know just a little – or even a lot. For example, I’m utterly obsessed with giraffes. If you type in “giraffe” to the search box you get no less than 10,929 results of different products with different designs on them. And the designs/illustrations couldn’t be more varied: You’ve got modern, pop art, cartoon, fantasy, typography, graphic, abstract, romantic, photographic… Everything.

Not Dressed As Lamb - Redbubble.com fave picks
You could get someone a sticker for £1.78, a cushion for £14 or a canvas print for £42 (all in different sizes). Or a kid’s t-shirt, or an adult hoodie. Or a duvet cover, or a travel mug. Or a tote bag, or a greetings card. (You can see how I spent hours on it, can’t you.)

This isn’t a sponsored post and Redbubble haven’t contacted me at all to promote them – I just found their website by chance and thought it was too good not to share with you. They ship internationally and do charge delivery, but as I’m pretty sure that once you’ve chosen a design and then decided what to have it printed on it’s made especially for you, making it an (almost) bespoke item. If there are over 10,000 products with giraffes on, you can imagine how the different products available are somewhat endless…!

How to get art and illustrations printed on everything - redbubble.com | Not Dressed As Lamb
As a freelancer (and “artistic person” in terms of art and photography) I’m all for championing independent artists. It’s all too easy for their work to be copied and distributed these days with the rise of the internet, so I’m happy to pay delivery charges for using their designs this way – I’m effectively getting something that’s almost certainly unique.

And if you know someone that’s an illustrator or graphic designer, they can register to get their designs sold on Redbubble – so please share this post with them!

So all that’s left to say is… LET’S GET THIS [LINK UP] PARTY STARTED!!

My highlight of the week has been getting stuck into writing my next novel! I totally forgot that I'd booked my editor for mid February so I'm writing my ass off at the moment lol! But the book (if I don't say so myself) is fabulous 😉 I'm absolutely loving this one and can't wait to share it with the world in March / April. It's actually a chick lit novel set around a 'sex shop' in the midlands. Fun to write, I can tell you 😉

I use Society6 but am considering expanding to Red Bubble to make my items more readily available for my UK and European friends. Thanks for the intel and for hosting!

Are these generally considered more artist-friendly than something like Zazzle or CafePress? Or are the items nicer? I want to put some stuff up on Zazzle but I haven't gotten very far with it.
