The Best of the Blogosphere – 12 Unmissable Links (October 2016)

12 Unmissable Links: The Best of the Blogosphere, October 2016 | Not Dressed As Lamb, over 40 style blog
My Best of the Blogosphere – Unmissable Links post is a monthly round up of things I’ve seen, watched and liked in the blogosphere that I’m sure you’ll love too. This month I’m sharing a stunning 65 year old’s thoughts on health, fashion and beauty, a poignant vlog about dealing with severe depression, having your colours analysed and much more.

I’ve been moved by and have loved reading and discovering these vlogs and blog posts – I hope you will too 🙂

Sharron has written about how to look good and feel great whatever your age, asking her 65-year-old mother her thoughts on health, fitness, fashion and beauty (she looks nowhere near 65 IMO).

Talk about creative: Ann has styled a furry, emerald green tunic dress as a scarf, no less. It looks amazing.

A YouTube video that broke my heart: One blogger’s story of how she dealt with depression… A really hard watch but I cannot applaud her honesty and bravery enough.

You CAN wear on-trend pieces at any age – they just have to suit your style and your personality (as beautifully demonstrated by Lisa in her over the knee boots and bomber jacket).

If you’ve ever wondered what all the fuss about Marie Kondo’s The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up was really all about (known as the KonMari method), here’s an easy breakdown of the five key points.

Alanna’s sartorial creativity knows no bounds, but her combination of midi-length kilt, jeans and chunky knitwear got me especially excited.

The best of The Over 40 Collective this month

This is where I share the best post from each member of The O40Co that I’m proud to be part of (see this post for an explanation). Enjoy! 🙂

If anyone can channel Kanye and totally pull it off (in a star motif sweatshirt, metallic jeans and high-tops), Liz can.

Nikki had her colours “done” and the results – especially to someone like me who wears every colour going without a care in the world – are fascinating.

Lisa is my go-to for all the top skincare brands, so I loved her write-up about skin masks for transitional weather.

Michelle is the best storyteller ever, and her tales of how her clothes are trying to kill her will make you lol.

Annette held a wonderful private cocktail party at home with her daughter – who says you have to go out to do this?!

Michelle (#2) did two days in Paris like a local. I’m so envious of all that delicious French food, and the flowers. And the cheese. And the sunshine.
